Entrevista a Yannis Yfantís / Templo Del Mundo / Audisea
Entrevista a Yannis Yfantís / Templo del mundo / audisea 1. In your poem “EPXOMAI”, the speaker is transformed as he crosses through several mirror-like, labyrinthine spaces and times: “Με ρώτησαν από πού έρχομαι. / Τι να τους έλεγα; Δεν θα με καταλάβαιναν /και τότε / θα μ’ οδηγούσανε δεμένο στον ψυχίατρο”. How is it possible to shed light on that infinite, all-unifying tandem? Again, where are you from? What can you tell us about your origins? It is possible to shed light on this tandem, if we comprehend that the poets are not many, but one (No one). Who has however many faces and many names scattered across space and time. Every poet is one of the waves of that OCEAN, whose name is SPIRIT. And again, where do I come from, which are my roots? Oh yes: Let’s better look at one of the biographies that I use: “I don't know when and where I was born; looking for the healing beauty and the truth that liberates, I found myself on the paths of poetry. Here I am where Zero bites its own tail with pain and delight here I am in the midst of eternity at its beginning and its end”. More details? See also my poem “Always Here”, in my book that AUDISEA has just published. And even, see the poem “Happy Song” on my website www.yfantis.gr. Even more details? I was born in a farmhouse, at Raina, valley of Etolia, (in Central-West Greece, near the Ionian Sea). My parents are mountain-folk, as my great-grandparents (islanders or landers) fled to the mountain gorges to save themselves when the Turks invaded Byzantium (medieval Greece). -
SAE World Congress & Exhibition
SAE World Congress & Exhibition Technical Session Schedule As of 04/22/2007 07:40 pm Monday, April 16 Is the Light Duty Diesel Ready for Prime Time? Session Code: CONG70 Room FEV Powertrain Innovation Forum Session Time: 10:30 a.m. Beginning last year at the SAE World Congress, a large focus was given to diesel technology. Topics varied from where we are, how it can be implemented cost effectively, alternatives to aftertreatment, production capacity to economic relevance, just to name a few. One year later we're back to revisit light duty diesel technology and look at the successes and roadblocks readying the technology for commercialization. Will the market be ready for the estimated share increase predicted by many by the year 2015? Will the fuel infrastructure, the repair sector and the regulatory agencies be prepared for the large increase in usage? These and other challenges will be discussed by the panel of experts. Moderators - Walter S. McManus, Director-AA Division, OSAT, UMTRI Panelists - James J. Eberhardt, Chief Scientist, Office of FreedomCAR & Veh Tech, US DOE; Christopher Grundler, Deputy Dir, Off of Transp & Air Qty, US EPA; Robert Lee, VP, PowerTrain Product Engineering, DaimlerChrysler Corp.; Tony Molla, VP, Communications, National Inst. for Auto Serv Excellence; James E. SCCGS Quarterly Volume 43 (2020) Surname Index To find all instances of your family name, search for variants caused by poor handwriting, misinterpretation of similar letters or their sounds. A few such examples are L for S, c for e, n for u, u for a; phonetic spellings (Aubuchon for Oubuchon); abbreviations (M’ for Mc ); single letters for double (m for mm, n for nn); translations (King for Roy, Carpenter for Zimmermann). Other search tips: substitute each vowel for other ones, search for nicknames, when hyphenated – search for each surname alone, with and without “de” or “von”; with and without a space or apostrophe (Lachance and La Chance, O’Brien and OBRIEN). Burlington Obituaries
OBITUARIES OF BURLINGTON PEOPLE Bold print indicated obits that I copied personally, mostly in full. (compiled by L.Alderman, revised updated, 10-19-2006 These obituaries have been accumulated, hoping that they will be helpful genealogically. Also to provide some knowledge of earlier Burlington residents. They have been obtained mostly from newspaper clippings in old scrap books. If the newspaper name was available, that also was included. Also I have added much more information to them over the years such as full dates, full names and relationships, etc. There are bound to be errors. I would be glad to correct any to keep the record straight. Also would welcome more additions of Burlington people. Printed copy, $20.00 FARMINGTON VALLEY HERALD, 8-9-1912; Contractor Andrew Slater has been busy for the last few days in erecting a rustic arch and entrance to the cemetery in Burlington. It is patterned somewhat after the entrance and gates to Oak lawn Cemetery in Southington.
