Maternal deaths in Australia 2006–2010 Australia deaths in Maternal Maternal deaths in Australia 2006–2010 is the 15th report on women who die during pregnancy and childbirth. Although maternal deaths are rare in Australia, they are Maternal deaths catastrophic events when they do occur and require monitoring and investigation.
