Giving up a cushy and coveted job in London to come back to India and work for education and student development is never an easy decision. Arjun Puri did just that, and inspired many others along the way. His life story and career path are a perfect balance between success and satisfaction. Arjun’s passion for education started at La Martiniere, Kolkata, where he was the 167th School Captain. He has a Master of Letters in Business from the University of St. Andrews and has worked across the globe in banking (Merrill Lynch), rural empowerment (ITC) and education. Presently, he lives in Landour and also teaches the importance of happiness to whoever cares to listen. Engage with Arjun as he shares his life journey, with food, travel, and education, in its focus.

Abhinav Bindra – a name synonymous with precision – is the first Indian to win an individual gold medal at the 2008 Beijing . Right from an early age, Abhinav showed an interest in , and at the age of 15 he represented India in the 1998 as the youngest participant in the tournament. A young idol to many, his journey towards excellence motivates people to work hard and persist to achieve their goals. Meet the man himself as he shares his life story, the challenges encountered and overcome, highs and lows in his life and the march to victory.

Founded in 1854, Woodstock School, Mussoorie is one of the top schools in India. Located on a 250-acre campus within a protected forest just 1 km from the hill station city of Mussoorie, Woodstock lies within a protected forest in a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The school enjoys spectacular views of the Doon Valley, the Tehri Hills and the ancient Shivalik range. Darab will talk about his passion for nature and his drive to give back by working to improve the standard of environmental studies in the state, the challenges he faced and overcame, and thereby, becoming a role model for the people around him.

Finding Wholeness: Leading a Well Balanced Life 3:30 pm – 5:00 pm At JW Café by Nirupama Subramanian, Founder, GLOW

Research showed companies in the top quartile for gender diversity on their executive teams were 21% more likely to experience above-average profitability than companies in the fourth quartile. Nirupama is the co-Founder of Growing Leadership of Women (GLOW) – an organisation aimed at making women realise their potential. Nirupama has over 24 years of work experience in the area of Leadership Development, Change Management and Personal Transformation. During an interactive session, Nirupama will explain the concept of ‘Wholeness and Leading a Balanced Life’ based on GLOW’s propreitory InSPIRE model. Each woman will create her own ‘Wheel of Life’ and derive insights about the quality of her Life along these dimensions – spiritual, intellectual, relational, physical and emotional. There will be sharing of life stories and exchange of ideas at each table, and Nirupama will provide some techniques for leading a well- balanced life. PARTNERS’ PROGRAMME

Cedar, Oak, Pine: In love with nature 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm A late afternoon walk One of the finer pleasures of life is to ‘feel’ the mountains and to experience their majesty and their permanence. Take a nature walk among towering Deodars and through quaint settlements with the Himalayas on one side and the beautiful Doon valley on the other.

Inspiring Change 7:45 pm – 9:00 pm Temsutula Imsong, Founder, Sakaar Sewa Samiti (This will be hosted as a joint session with delegates over cocktails) One of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's pet initiatives – the Clean India Mission or Swachh Bharat Abhiyan – has been making headlines for some time now. We have seen celebrities like pick up brooms and sweep sections of streets after being asked to serve as a sort of brand ambassador for the mission. But this time, it is not celebrities who are in the news. A young woman from Nagaland decided to take up the task of cleaning the Prabhu Ghat, one of the filthiest ghats in Varanasi, the PM’s constituency. She started her mission in 2013 after quitting her fulltime job, and ended up cleaning the Prabhu Ghat in 2015. Engage with Temsutula in a discussion over drinks and snacks as she shares her spirited efforts that earned the personal praise of PM Modi.
