Scalar I3 and I6 Release I2 Open Source Software Licenses Tape Automation Scalar i3 & Scalar i6, Firmware Release i2 (140G) Open Source Software Licenses Open Source Software (OSS) Licenses for: • Scalar i3 & Scalar i6 Firmware Release i2 (140G). The firmware/software contained in the Scalar i3 & Scalar i6 is an aggregate of vendor proprie- tary programs as well as third party programs, including Open Source Software (OSS). Use of OSS is subject to designated license terms and the following OSS license disclosure lists all open source components and applicable licenses that are part of the tape library firmware. All software that is designated as OSS may be copied, distributed, and/or modified in accordance with the terms and conditions of its respective license(s). Additionally, for some OSS you are entitled to obtain the corresponding OSS source files as required by the respective and applicable license terms. While GNU General Public License ("GPL") and GNU Lesser General Public Li- cense ("LGPL") licensed OSS requires that the sources be made available, Quantum makes all tape library firmware integrated OSS source files, whether licensed as GPL, LGPL or otherwise, available upon request. Please refer to the Scalar i3 & Scalar i6 Open Source License CD (part number 3-07787-02) when making such request. For contact information, see Getting More In- formation. The Scalar iBlade/LTFS NAS option is delivered with Centos 7.2 as a base operating system. Individual packages that comprise the Centos 7.2 distribution come with their own licenses; the texts of these licenses are located in the packages' source code and permit you to run, copy, mod- ify, and redistribute the software package (subject to certain obligations in some cases) both in source code and binary code forms. The IBLADE/LTFS NAS OSS table lists open-source software components used in the Scalar iBlade/LTFS NAS release (BaseOS 1.1.0-48) that have been added to the base operating system, 6-67320-41 Rev A, August 2017 Scalar i3 & i6, Firmware Release i2, Open Source Licenses 6-67320-41 Rev A August 2017 patched, or otherwise included with the product. For each component, the associated licenses are provided. Upon request, Quantum will furnish a DVD containing source code for all of these open-source modules for the additional packages listed here. The source for Centos can currently be found at: https://wiki.centos.org/Sources To order a copy of the source code covered by an open source license, or to obtain information and instructions in support of any open source license terms, contact the Global Call Center. LTO tape drives installed in the library may also include OSS components.
