It completes the NSWVCA coverage for the Border Rivers-Gwydir and Namoi CMA areas and records plant communities in the Central West and Hunter–Central Rivers CMA areas. In total, 585 plant communities are now classified in the NSWVCA covering 11.5 of the 18 Bioregions in NSW (78% of the State). Of these 226 communities are in the NSW Western Plains and 416 are in the NSW Western Slopes. 315 plant communities are classified in the BBS, NAN and west-NET Bioregions including 267 new descriptions since Version 2 was published in 2008. Descriptions of the 315 communities are provided in a 919 page report on the DVD accompanying this paper along with updated reports on other inland NSW bioregions and nine Catchment Management Authority areas fully or partly classified in the NSWVCA to date.

However, the AI needs more data to ensure it is reliable in all conditions, including after rain when it is lush and green. Why? The aim of AI platform is to detect Harrisia cactus in areas that people are unable to get to or in areas that people may have thought it may not be. It also allows us to determine the area of infestation and density creating a map of distribution. How? Fortunately, now we have areas of lush feed and healthy grasslands, InFarm are seeking your help. The next step is to ensure the AI can detect Harrisia cactus in lush green pasture.

Arts North West has had a diverse and fascinating couple of months, visiting towns and villages across our wonderful region. We have exciting new projects to roll out over the coming months in our arts and disability, youth and Aboriginal programs. We continue to build strong networks with artists and artsworkers, as well as key collaborations with our local government partners. Caroline Downer Executive Director (RADO) ARTS NW ON TOUR PERFORMING ARTS NETWORK Stones in His Pockets by Critical Stages toured to Roxy Theatre, Bingara, Royal Theatre, Quirindi and TAS Hoskins Theatre, Armidale, high quality production with broad appeal, excellent ticket sales and loved by audiences. Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow hit 5 venues across the New England North West region Glen Innes, Gunnedah, Narrabri, Quirindi and Tenterfield after a two year negotiation process through Arts North West ON TOUR. It is the first time to this region and was an immensely popular tour many of the shows selling out and venues expressing an interest in getting the show back in 2017. ANW Projects Officer has also secured major productions for the network next year, and is on the advisory panel for Arts on Tour devolved funding touring grants. SUCCESS!
