Diagnosis, data on localities, biology, and general distribution of the species are provided. One female and five males were caught on a mowed fresh meadow and fallow fields with the use of water pan-traps (Moericke traps), during the 2003 - 2004 time period. The main morphological characteristics distinguishing Andrena florivaga from the very similar Andrena dorsalis Brullé, 1832 species and from the other species of the subgenus Lepidandrena are: in the case of females - the width of facial foveae and colouration of legs, and in the case of males - the length of the first flagellar segment, colouration of clypeus, and pubescence of gonostyles. Andrena florivaga can be found from France in the west, to Central Siberia (Baikal lake region) in the east, and Turkey in the south. Poland is the northernmost locality of the species. ROZEN, JR.' Michener (1944) divided the andrenid subfamily Panurginae into two tribes, the Panurgini and Melitturgini, with the latter containing the single Old World genus Melitturga. This genus was relegated to tribal status apparently on the grounds that the adults, unlike those of other panurgines, bear certain striking resemblances to the essentially Neo- tropical Oxaeinae of the same family. In 1951 Rozen showed that the male genitalia of Melitturga are unlike those of the Oxaeinae and are not only typical of those of the Panurginae in general but quite like those of the Camptopoeum-Panurgus-Panurginus-Epimethea complex within the sub- family. On the basis of this information, Michener (1954a) abandoned the idea that the genus Melitturga represents a distinct tribe of the Panur- ginae. Observations were established, lasting 8 hours daily, during different periods from 2009 to 2015. Bees and plants, after preparation, were identified and registered in a database. We sampled 3,073 bees, all of which 1042 were wild native species. The collected bees are included in 34 species and 44 morphospecies (Halictinae-35, Megachilinae-17, Apinae non corbiculate-15, Apinae corbiculate- 10, Andreninae-1). With the exception of Apis mellifera, the most abundant bee taxa sampled were Trigona spinipes (330 individuals), Xylocopa brasilianorum (92) and Pseudaugochlora graminea (92). Euglossini females and species poorly sampled in inventories such as Leiopodus lacertinus, Thygater (Thygater) armandoi, Anthodioctes megachiloides and Coelioxys aculeaticeps were captured. The bees were sampled over 83 botanical species of 38 families. The most visited botanical families were Lamiaceae and Asteraceae. The richness of the studied area is lower than those of other nearby compared places, indicating probably a decrease of the apifauna. The found diversity previews the place as a possible refuge.
