Today almost 24000 students, from both Italy and PAVIA CREMONA overseas, study at our University. The University of Pavia (known among students, graduates and scholars as UNIPV) covers all subject areas and is composed of 18 Departments offering study programmes at all levels, from Bachelor’s degrees to Doctorate programs. Close attention is paid to each student by our academic staff (900 professors and researchers). 82% of our graduates find employment within a year of graduation, 93% after three years and 94% within five years of graduation, against a national average of 77%. Master’s degrees in the areas of science, engineering, medicine and pharmacology have a 95% post-graduation employment rate. Pavia has been a city-campus since its foundation and even today it offers students a unique experience in Italy and rare in Europe: to study at one of 20 University colleges that are largely independent from the administrative structure of the University. 4 3 THE UNIVERSITY THE COLLEGE (DORM) SYSTEM: OF PAVIA AT A GLANCE UNIQUE IN ITALY People Pavia, like Oxford and Cambridge in the UK, has a 23500 students, 1500 international students unique College system in Italy, dating back to the 16th graduates employed a year after graduation 82% century.
