Darryl, the son of Robert and Barbara Christensen, was recognized for out- standing performance on the Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test-National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The test was administered nationwide to high school juniors in October, 1977, More than one million students par- ticipated in the merit program, and less than 35,000 throughout the United States were honored as commended students.
