While it may seem easier at times to individually pursue goals and objectives it is not in the best interest of the people you are trying to serve. Second, it is necessary to let your weaknesses shine through as you may be surprised how others can help your overcome them. Third, it is important to be yourself and not let others dictate who you should be or ought to be. Finally, I have learned that it is not important who is right and wrong in a situation. You can’t always be right nor can you always be wrong. I know these lessons would not have been learned in another organization or position. It would not be appropriate to end my tenure in office without recognizing the individuals that made it possible. I would like to thank Circle K District Administrator Jim McAllister and his administrative team for their commitment to sponsored youth. It is also necessary to recognize the members of the Kiwanis District Board. Thank you for always financially supporting sponsored organi- zations and programs.
