DESCRIPTION

The fuel tank (Fig. 80-10-1) is positioned in front of the radiator and inside the grille hous ing. An electric fuel gauge sending unit is mounted on the right side of the tank.

A shut-off valve is located directly beneath the fuel tank. The fuel tank outlet pipe connects to the diaphragm-type fuel pump (Fig. 80-10-2), mounted on the right side of the engine, and driven by the engine camshaft.

Fuel flows from the tank to the inlet side of the pump through pipe "A". A sediment bowl on the pump filters out foreign particles or dirt from the fuel before it is pumped through pipe "B" to the carburetor, on the left side of the engine. If tractor is equipped with 3-point hitch re move lift links and draft links (Fig. 150-15-1). If tractor is equipped with drawbar, remove entire drawbar support assembly (Fig. 150- 15-2). Block front wheels of tractor, to prevent rolling, and raise rear end of tractor with jack or hoist so that rear wheels just clear the floor. Remove rear wheels. If tractor is equipped with breakaway cou plers, perform the following disassembly of the tractor before attempting to remove final drive units. Fig. 150·15-2-Drawbar Support Assembly

When the latch handle is lifted, an adjustable spring and cable reel assembly moves the seat to its extreme rearward position. Then when the operator sits down, the seat will move forward into position.

A position selector lever determines the seat position along the rail, depending on the oper ator's height. The seat position adjustment must' be made while the seat is in the extreme rear ward position. Fig. 200-10.2 - Electrical Connectors
