A combination of centralized services to increase efficiencies with local adaptation and support where it adds value is what we believe in. Challenging paradigms and finding creative solutions to the current opportunities is a strong part of who we are. We value modern technology to help us achieve this. We focus on revenue, omni-channel distribution, customer engagement, technology, innovation and cost efficiency. We have embarked upon a growth strategy after several years of humbling consolidation. We realize the potential of operating extremely smart and cost efficient given our size allowing dynamism coupled with the increasing share of direct distribution for B2B and B2C. We want to build a dynamic and proactive passenger sales approach in countries abroad and EU. We look for partners who can help us to achieve this. a. BACKGROUND Until March 2019 Surinam Airways had 4 X weekly nonstop flights from Amsterdam/the Netherlands to Paramaribo/Suriname. Today this operation is reduced to 1 – 2 weekly direct flight due to the Covid 19 governmental restrictions. The goal is to get back to 4 weekly or more nonstop flights from AMS to PBM. Surinam Airways has long-standing relationships with other airlines. These Relationships allow Surinam Airways to coordinate Sales, pricing and schedules in Europe, South America, USA and the Caribbean. 3 REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)- GSA- Amsterdam Surinam Airways final3PY ▪ We see opportunity to grow our traffic into several markets for example Toronto, New York, Bogota, Fortaleza. The primary hub for Surinam Airways is Paramaribo with a secondary hub at AMS Anticipated countries of operation currently include: • Netherlands, USA, Trinidad, Curaçao, Aruba, Brazil, Guyana, Our expectation of a GSA partner for the EU market is to drive a strong direct sales operation leveraging mostly via our own sales channel www.flyslm.com whilst also positioning strongly via TMC’s, OTA’s, Tour Operators, Travel Agents or directly corporates. We also foresee future business from the NGO segment Corporate profile of Surinam Airways In 1955 Surinam Airways started its domestic activities and scheduled services were inaugurated between Paramaribo and the small bauxite town of Moengo, using pleasure planes. Then, on August 30th, 1962, the Surinaamse Luchtvaart Maatschappij was officially established. SLM’s international activities started in 1964 when a pool agreement made between KLM, ALM and SLM to jointly operate the route between Paramaribo and Curacao, with stops at Georgetown (Guyana) and Port of Spain (Trinidad). After ALM became an independent airline, KLM withdrew from the pool and ALM and SLM jointly continued the operation. SLM’s activities were originally restricted to providing cabin personnel and managing the marketing activities in the Guyana’s. Later on SLM crews piloted various flights. Nowadays, SLM operate the routes to Curaçao and Miami. On the eve of Surinam’s independence in 1975, the transatlantic route was successfully negotiated for SLM. And on November 2nd, 1975 the proud free bird of Surinam Airways roared into the sky, using a leased KLM DC-8/63 in Surinam Airways bright colours and completely manned by Surinam Airways crew. Surinam Airways proved for over 58 years that it is able to stand on its own feet in the aviation field. 4 REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)- GSA- Amsterdam Surinam Airways final3PY Surinam Airways is the national carrier of the Republic of Suriname.
