Here are some highlights to help you travel like the locals.

TIP: Many of the locations are open seasonally. Be sure to check VisitCumberlandValley.com for months and hours of operation.

  Start a fresh-picked fun weekend at Maplewood Farm Market in Shippensburg. This farm market and greenhouse sells vegetables, melons, berries, tree fruit, pumpkins, deli items, preserves, cider, eggs, dairy products and cheeses, baked goods, honey, flowers, herbs, and more. In the fall, they can enjoy a mini-straw maze, corn and soybean boxes and a slide and climb area.

  Although many of our farm stands are seasonal, local food is still an option in the winter months. Two locations for year-round farm-fresh products are Farmers on the Square in Carlisle, which moves indoors from January through April, and the indoor 60,000-square-foot West Shore Farmers Market in Lemoyne. Ashcombe Farm and Greenhouses is also open year-round and includes a garden center, a gift and floral area, baked goods, produce, gourmet foods, gardening gifts and supplies,
