The DANISA DENMARK JUNIOR 2017 Welcome to the DANISA DENMARK JUNIOR 2017 Badminton Denmark and DANISA welcome you to the DANISA DENMARK JUNIOR 2017 in Odense. We are very pleased that so many young players from all around Europe have chosen to spend a week in Odense. We are expecting a week of great badminton experiences where new friendships are made, and where we proudly can invite you to world-class badminton at the DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR in Odense Sports Park. The tournament is this year again a World Class Event, which means that all the stars, world ranked top 10, must attend. It requires very hard work and at lot of volunteers to get a tournament like DANISA DENMARK JUNIOR on its track. Badminton Denmark would like to take this opportunity to thank Svendborg Badminton Club, Middelfart Badminton Club and tournament referee Karsten Westergaard for their great effort. Also thank you to the Badminton Denmark Team Event for making this tournament possible. We hope you will get some good and exciting days at the DANISA DENMARK JUNIOR. The lists MUST be 100 % updated. If you show up with more persons than preliminarily listed and booked for at entry, you must pay DKK 75, - per additional persons per night (availability considered). Accommodation will be the same place for all the players - Paarup School. Paarupvej 19, 5210 Odense NV The school is open for accommodation Tuesday-Friday kl.15.00- 17.00 and again kl.22.00 – after end of play at the DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR. The school is locked every day between 9.00 and 15.00 and again between 17.30 and 21.30. Breakfast at the public school For those, who have booked accommodation breakfast is served at Paarup School between 07.00-08.00. Saturday from 6.30-7.30. Please note that breakfast is served at Paarup School, while dinner is served at the Venue. Dinner at your first day of play All buses go right to the Venue. Dinner will be served at the Venue, look for the signs on arrival. Dinner is free on the first day you are playing, if you have signed up for it. The meal is served between 17.30-18.30. If you didn’t sign up for dinner, it’s first-come-first served at a price of DKK 85, - per person per meal. But be aware, that we cannot ensure dinner if you haven’t signed up for it in advance. • After dinner, you are free to enjoy world-class badminton at the DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR. Other meals Any other meal is on your own. There will be played according to Badminton Denmark rules throughout the tournaments. However, please note the following: • The players themselves have to count the following game on the same court he/she played on. o Pool – the winner counts. o Cup – the looser counts. • A few semifinals in M and E are being played without an Umpire due to lack of Umpires. All A, B, C and D categories are played without Umpires • Gifts and prizes: o Badminton Denmark Championship medals for 1., 2. and 3.. o Badminton Denmark diploma for 1., 2., og 3. places. o Gift Card for all categories o Souvenir T-shirt for everyone o DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR ticket. Rules of Coaching In U9, U11 and U13 coaching is only allowed in the set interval between 1st and 2nd and again between 2nd and 3rd set. No coaching during play or at 11. In U15 coaching is allowed in all intervals. No coaching during play. In U17/19 coaching is allowed in all intervals and also during the game as long as the shuttle is not in play. T-shirt Danish players: T-shirts can be picked up in the hall, where you play your first match. Delivery is by the tournament manager’s desk in the hall. Players from abroad: Team leader must pick up t-shirts, arm band, meal tickets for the whole team at the ticket sale office at the venue for DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR. Access to the DANISA DANISA DENMARK JUNIOR band is the player’s and team leader’s DENMARK OPEN presented by ticket to the DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR, and it VICTOR and band is very important that you are present to collect. The band gives you access to the DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR throughout the days you are playing during your stay. The band is for both players and team leaders and has a special colour. Please notice: Danish players: Bands can be picked up in the hall, where you play your first match. Delivery is by the tournament manager’s desk in the hall. Foreign players: Team leader must pick up t-shirts, arm band, meal tickets for the whole team at the ticket sale office at the venue for DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR. Other information If you haven’t paid for your participation at the DANISA DENMARK JUNIOR, you have to go to the ticket sale at Odense Sports Park, where you can pay for your participation. Please show the staff your invoice at the payment. Transport DANISA DENMARK Departure: The busses to the DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented OPEN presented by VICTOR by VICTOR is driving from the halls to the DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR. Return: The busses from the DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR is driving to the public school for accommodation 15 minutes after the last match at around. 10 PM in the weekdays. If you are not at the bus at its departure time, you have to find your own way to the public school yourself. Transport • Transport from Paarup School to the halls and between the halls and Danisa Denmark Open presented by Victor are for players and team leaders, who ordered transports when filled out the entry form. • You have to have a team leader present with you during bus rides to the DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR. • Not-accommodated players have to be accompanied by a team leader as well. • Bus plan will be displayed at the halls every day Photography Please notice that pictures will be taken to Badminton Denmark’s archive. The pictures will be used to illustrate the sport of badminton. With participating in the DANISA DENMARK JUNIOR, each participant accepts that photos, videos, interviews etc. from this tournament will be used by the organizer. His many journeys abroad, through most of Europe, Asia Minor and even Morocco resulted in a string of travelogues that are surprisingly accurate and vivid, even when measured by today’s standards: Skyggebilleder af en Reise til Harzen, det sachsiske Schweitz etc. etc., i Sommeren 1831, 1831 (Pictures of Travel. Scott ABSTRACT Using traditional osteological methods of stress analysis, specifically skeletal lesions and growth and development patterns, this research focuses on the timing and manifestation of stress in the hard tissues of the body and the interaction between these various indicators of poor health. The Danish Black Friars cemetery population spanning the medieval and post-medieval periods (13th-17th centuries) is used for this research to explore changing health trends during a period of socioeconomic disruption and expanding urban dwelling. The results of this study show a distinct trend between the late and early post-medieval periods where stress was elevated after the Reformation (AD 1536). Additionally, females generally show higher levels of stress than males. The poorer health experienced in the post-medieval period was likely influenced by the changing living conditions of the late 16th century where urban dwelling increased in Denmark introducing new pathogens, poorer living conditions and new environmental and working stressors, all contributing to poorer health. While the overall level of stress appears to increase into the post-medieval period, the average age-at-death is higher after the Reformation suggesting that while these individuals may have been exposed to more prolonged periods of stress, they were able to adapt and survive in spite of these hardships.

The conclusion reached is that Accepted 10 May 2018 there was activity of a permanent and possibly urban character in Odense from the end of the late KEYWORDS ’ eighth century until the late tenth century. The town s development can be followed through three Urbanisation; Late Iron Age; phases. Phases 1 and 2 cover the periods AD 700–900 and AD 900–100, respectively, while phase 3 Viking Age; Early Middle covers the period AD 1000-1101. During phases 1 and 2, the proto-town develops through bottom- Ages; ring fortress; up processes, such as network, crafts and possibly trade. After AD 1000, Odense develops into a trelleborg-type fortress; town proper, under royal influence. The model from Odense provides the background for a fresh specialised crafts; trade view of urbanisation in southern Scandinavia in general. A three-phase model is proposed. Phase 0 constitutes the emporia of the eighth–ninth century, which perhaps primarily is satellites in a trading network controlled from the south. Phase 1 takes the form of locally initiated and based incipient urbanisation extending from the end of the eighth century until the tenth century.

Vi er meget glade for igen, at så mange ungdomsspillere fra hele verden har valgt at bruge deres efterårsferie i Odense. Vi forventer en uge med fantastiske badmintonoplevelser, hvor nye venskaber opstår, og hvor vi stolt kan invitere på badminton i verdensklasse til DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR i Odense Idrætshal.
