Host for Hope Toolkit May 15, 2021 Host for Hope Thank you for your commitment to host an Evening of Hope dinner party for eight to ten guests on May 15, 2021. The evening will include a silent auction, mission moment, and a special message of inspiring stories of hope to benefit our cancer patients and their families. As a Host for Hope we will be relying on you to encourage your guests to open their hearts to our cancer patients and give generously to our mission moment and silent auction in support.
We will guide you through the entire process to ensure your evening is memorable for you and your guests. Below we have information and resources that will help you get started as you begin to plan your dinner party. Bringing Hope to Cancer Patients With more than 26,000 estimated new cancer cases in Kentucky in 2020, CHI Saint Joseph Health knows the importance of having exceptional cancer care close to home. Our recent affiliation with the Cleveland Clinic Cancer Center in Lexington allows our patients the opportunity to consult with leading sub-specialists. Plans to expand cancer services along with a variety of oncology necessities across CHI Saint Joseph Health will give our patients access to expertise with the compassion and comfort of staying close to home.
Your support for our Evening of Hope will directly benefit patients being treated for cancer across all of our facilities and will provide them with the hope they need for their journey ahead.
Host Planning Timeline In order to make sure that your dinner party goes off without a hitch, we've put together a planning timeline that will help.
January - Create your guest list and send the Save the Date. If you need ideas on who to invite, we have a list of potential guests.
February - We will email you suggested email language for you to use with your guests with details for you to use about Evening of Hope. Personalize your invitations with any pertinent information specific to your dinner party. Send your guest list along with email addresses and mobile numbers of guests to [email protected] to send electronic communications regarding the event.
March - April - If you need to have your dinner party catered, take a look at our suggested vendors list. If you 're looking to add that "WOW" factor, be sure to reach out to Orsmby Rentals and a local florist from our list below and schedule your decor.
May - Your party box will arrive the first two weeks in May. Suggested Dinner Party Agenda Below is a suggested agenda that you can follow to help keep your party moving forward throughout the evening. We encourage you to customize your dinner party to your own creativity and flow. Note that the silent auction will have a definite end time as stated below, please allow your planning to accommodate enough time for guests to participate.
5:30 p.m. - Guest arrival 6:30 p.m. - Mission Moment Video 6:45 p.m. - Mission Moment Appeal 7:00 p.m. - Dinner 8:30 p.m. - Silent auction closes What to Expect in Your Party Box Party boxes will be delivered to hosts the first two weeks in May. A foundation staff member will contact you prior to delivery to confirm the correct address. Each party box will contain items that will help make your party a success.
