28th ANNUAL SCHOOL REPORT OF CLEMIS SCHOOL CHINGAVANAM 2019-20

Good morning everybody. I am indeed honoured to have this opportunity yet again to present before you the consistent upward graph of our school achievements and I would like to thank each one of you for being a significant part of this glorious journey. To avoid lengthy presentation the report will be a nut shell of all.

The year 2019 commenced on a wonderful note when the results of the CBSE Board Examination came out. The school secured 100% pass for the Std X & XII Board exam. Adarsh S Santhosh became the school topper in the Std XII exam securing 95.2%. He got A1 in all subjects. Five students secured the full 10 grade point in the Std X board exam. They got A1 in all subjects. We the staff and students take this opportunity to congratulate the students for their excellent performance and extend warm wishes for their bright future.

Like every year the Bright Stars Eve was organised in the School Auditorium to felicitate and congratulate our bright stars. Arch Bishop Mor Severios Kuriakose cash awards was given to the highest scorer in the Std X&XII exam. Mr Andrews Pallathara and Mrs Alice Andrews Pallathara memorial scholarship was given to a boy and girl who secured the highest marks in the +2 examination. Mr E T Abraham Ezhumayil Founder Manager Memorial Scholarship was given to the top scorer in the Std X examination. The programme was presided over by the Arch Bishop Kuriakose Mor Severios . Dr Sunil D Kuruvilla Education & HRD Trainer gave the keynote address. Governing Board members and parents of the awardees were present.

The School Parliament is under the able guidance of our school leader Master Hebron P Sibu and deputy leader Kumari Ann Maria Chacko who are assisted by class leaders.

Classwise Parent Teacher meetings were conducted and an Open House meeting was also conducted. In this meeting the report cards of the students were distributed. Parents got better chance to interact with the teachers.

Aiming at the sustained development of the students the school makes strategic planning. Every thursday the students are given training in karatte, yoga, chess, needlework, craft and music. Students are grouped under 4 houses which creates a healthy competitive spirit. This year Diamond house was declared as the overall champions scoring the highest points. Different clubs too are functioning in the school and the students actively take part in all the meetings.

The school level Talents Day of classes I to XII was held on October 11 & 12. It was inaugurated by Fr.Severios N Thomas. He entertained the children by rendering a melodious Maapilattu. Nursery section Talents Day was conducted on November 19th. It was inaugurated by Arch Bishop Kuriakose Mor Severios. Rev Fr.A.P Jacob Anjilimootil gave the keynote address. The Regional Kalotsav Sargasangamam was held at St.Antony's Public School Annakal Kanjirapally. Many students participated in various items. Belva Mariam Biju won the first place with A grade for Recitation. She also took part in the State Kalotsav and secured the 6th position with A grade.

This year too our school took part in various quiz competitions. Krishnanunni K.R & Thejus Johnson won the 1st prize & Sachu T Cherian & Amrutha K Shaji won the 2nd prize for the Quiz competition conducted by Lions Club Chingavanam . Sachu T Cherian & Amrutha K Shaji won the 1st prize in the Marthoma Kurialashery Quiz competition held in Mary Rani Public School.

Onam was celebrated on September 6 2019. House wise competitions like Athapookalam, Malayali Manka and Purushan were conducted. Various games were organised for the children.

Besides academic and cultural excellence we give importance to physical education as well. The Annual Sports Day was held on Dec 6th and 7th. Mr Ratheesh Kumar R Inspector of Police SHO Chingavanam hoisted the flag and received the salute. A spectacular March past and mass drill was performed by the students. Our school has registered in the Fit Movement an initiative of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Orientation programme was conducted for the teachers on May 31st 2019. Rev.Fr. Thomas Abraham Malleserry led the programme. A one day training programme for the teachers was conducted on Nov 2nd 2019. Mr Joji Paul Principal Benchmark International School Tiroor handled the session.

Tour was arranged for the students of Std V, IX, X, XI and XII. I would like to conclude by thanking God Almighty for his blessings on this institution. We are thankful once again to all those ArchBishop Kuriakose Mor Severios, Samudaya Trustee,secretarywho wish us well the governing board members,Vice Principal,Staff secretary, parents, our comitted teachers, young dynamic students, our dedicated support system for their whole hearted co-operation & support.
