There were pupils from lots of different primary schools including Ysgol Frongoch, Ysgol Trefnant, Ysgol Bodfari, Ysgol Pendref, Ysgol Esgob Morgan, Ysgol Bryn Clwyd and Cefn Meiriadog. The pupils spent a 2 hour session in the science department. The Scene was that there has been an outbreak of burglaries at Denbigh allotments. There were 4 different suspects including Queeny Luckless and Bert Toerag. The pupils’ job was to compare the evidence collected from each of the suspects with the crime scene. Some of the experiments they carried out included using universal indicator and chromatography. They also investigated fingerprints, but I think the number 1 favourite was carrying out flame tests. All the pupils seemed to really enjoy it and lots were successful in identifying the correct suspect. However the only school that all identified the suspect correctly was Ysgol Trefnant, so well done. A very positive experience enjoyed by the pupils, Miss Cooke, Mr Jones and Mr Baxter. 3 www.denbighhighschool.co.uk >C>A>R>E>E>R>S >F>A>I>R There were 500 jobs up for colleges, the chance to showcase their opportunities.” grabs at the inaugural South job-creating potential to our year 10 and Assistant Headteacher Miranda Cookson Denbighshire Jobs Fair at 6th form pupils. said: “It is vitally important, especially Denbigh Town Hall. • Dyffryn Clwyd Mission Area
Dyffryn Clwyd Mission Area Application Pack: November 2019 The Diocese of St Asaph In the Diocese of St Asaph or Teulu Asaph, we’re • Growing and encouraging the whole people of God • Enlivening and enriching worship • Engaging the world We’re a family of more than 7,000 regular worshippers, with 80 full time clergy, over 500 lay leaders, 216 churches and 51 church schools. We trace our history to the days of our namesake, St Asaph and his mentor, St Kentigern who it’s believed built a monastery in St Asaph in AD 560. Many of the churches across the Diocese were founded by the earliest saints in Wales who witnessed to Christian faith in Wales and have flourished through centuries of war, upheaval, reformation and reorganisation. Today, the Diocese of St Asaph carries forward that same Mission to share God’s love to all in 21th Century north east and mid Wales. We’re honoured to be a Christian presence in every community, to walk with people on the journey of life and to offer prayers to mark together the milestones of life. Unlocking our Potential is the focus of our response to share God’s love with people across north east and mid Wales. Unlocking our Potential is about bringing change, while remaining faithful to the life-giving message of Jesus. It’s about challenging, inspiring and equipping the whole people of God to grow in their faith. Geographically, the Diocese follows the English/Welsh border in the east, whilst the western edge is delineated by the Conwy Valley.

This review is part of the programme of reviews being conducted under the Local Government (Democracy) (Wales) Act 2013, and follows the principles contained in the Commission’s Policy and Practice document. Clwyd a’i rhagnentydd, fel Clywedog, Chwiler ac Elwy, sy’n draenio’r dyffryn. Arferai Dyffryn Clwyd â bod yn un o ytiroedd mwyaf cynhyrchiol Cymru, oherwydd ei ffrwythlondeb a’i hinsawdd gymedrol. Mae’n gyforiog, hefyd, o olygfeydd godidog, hanes, archeoleg a gwaddol o adeiladau golygus. Mae’r ardal yn cynnwys tair tref hanesyddol sef Llanelwy gyda’i chadeirlan, a Dinbych a Rhuthun a’u cestyll. Ardal wledig ac amaethyddol yw hon, gan fwyaf, gyda’i chlytwaith cymysg o borfeydd a chaeau âr wedi’u hamgáu a gwrychoedd aeddfed, twt. Mae llawer o goed gwrychoedd ac, ym mannau, coed parciau hefyd. Y canlyniad yw tirwedd sy’n ein hatgoffa o wastadeddau ffrwythlon llawer ehangach Swydd Gaerllion yn y dwyrain. Dyma ardal enedigol, neu gartref, enwogion fel William Morgan, a gyfieithodd y Beibl i’r Gymraeg; Syr John Salesbury, cyfaill a noddwr i William Shakespeare; Twm o’r Nant, yr anterliwtiwr; Thomas Gee, y cyhoeddwr; H. M. Stanley, yr anturiaethwr, a Kate Roberts, y nofelydd. Summary description This broad, fertile valley extends from Llanelidan in the south to St Asaph in the north, is bounded by the abruptly rising Clwydian Range of hills to the east, and by the gently rising landscape of Rhos Hills to the west.
