The little-known monotypic genus Paracyphocrania Redtenbacher, 1908 (Phasmatinae: Phasmatini) is re- viewed and now comprises two species: P. lativentris Redtenbacher, 1908, and P. tecticollis (Redtenbacher, 1908) comb. nov., which are redescribed and illustrated. A neotype is designated for P. lativentris which is newly recorded from Sulawesi. Introduction While examining the phasmid material deposited in the Nationaal Natuurhistor- isch Museum, Leiden (RMNH), the authors came across an unidentifi ed female Phas- matini from Central Sulawesi, subsequently identifi ed as belonging to the monotypic genus Paracyphocrania Redtenbacher, 1908.
