CONGRESSMAN LOU CORREA AND SANTA ANA MAYOR MIGUEL PULIDO LEAD LIST OF ORANGE COUNTY LEADERS ENDORSING FOR GOVERNOR Santa Ana’s First Latino and Longtime Mayor Miguel Pulido Supports Villaraigosa

LOS ANGELES — Today, Congressman Lou Correa, D-Santa Ana, and longtime Santa Ana Mayor Miguel Pulido announced their support of Antonio Villaraigosa for Governor of . They are joined by Santa Ana Councilmember Sal Tinajero and La Habra Mayor Rose Espinoza, in endorsing Villaraigosa in his bid for Governor. Correa previously served Orange County residents as a State Senator, State Assemblyman, and as a County Supervisor. In 1994, Pulido broke barriers when he became Santa Ana’s first Latino Mayor.

Mayor Pulido Statement: Antonio Villaraigosa knows how to deliver on the issues that matter most to our communities. Under his leadership, was the first big city to set a goal to become independent of coal by 2025 and reduced greenhouse gas emissions by nearly 30 percent.
