Position Description: We are looking for excited, energetic PREP COOKS to clean, portion, cook and prepare menu items for service in conjunction with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1/5 Position Details Cleaning, cooking and preparing a variety of meats/seafood/vegetables and other foods according to recipe specifications Assisting in checking in deliveries as they arrive Properly storing, labeling and rotating raw and prepared food items according to HAACP standards Assisting in preparing family meal Staying clean and organized in your work environment Prioritizing tasks and multi-tasking with efficiency Requirements: While culinary experience is preferable, individuals with passion for people, food and wine are certainly welcome to apply. Culinary school is a plus. Basic food and cooking knowledge Basic knife skills Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions Must be able to move, pull, carry and lift heavy boxes and materials Must be able to work standing for a minimum period of 8 hours a day Flexible Availability, open to work AM & PM schedules Team player with a positive attitude SECOND JOBS: It is possible for participants to obtain a second job, but the second job must not interfere with the schedule for your job at Duryea's. This appendix also describes a variety of statewide and regional biodiversity conservation efforts that complement OPRHP’s work. NYS BIODIVERSITY RESEARCH INSTITUTE The New York State Biodiversity Research Institute is a state-chartered organization based in the New York State Museum who promotes the understanding and conservation of New York’s biological diversity. They administer a broad range of research, education, and information transfer programs, and oversee a competitive grants program for projects that further biodiversity stewardship and research. In 1996, the Biodiversity Research Institute approved funding for the Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation to undertake an ambitious inventory of its lands for rare species, rare natural communities, and the state’s best examples of common communities. The majority of inventory in state parks occurred over a five-year period, beginning in 1998 and concluding in the spring of 2003. Funding was also approved for a sixth year, which included all newly acquired state parks and several state parks that required additional attention beyond the initial inventory.
