First halfis the GL Corps Unfortunately, youdon't get the conclusionofcourse! I'llupdate this whenI finishit, for the two ofyou who care. Anyway, the point I'mt Shit Unfortunately, youdon't get the conclusionofcourse! Anyway, the point I'mtryingto make is that there isn't anypoint inthe first halfofthis volume, because you're goingto have GreenLanternCorps:ReckoningVolume 6 go hunt downthe fullstory elsewhere.
However, Johngettinga Star Sapphire ringdoes come into playinthe last few issues The second halfis a prettygood self-contained GL story withJohnand GreenLanternCorps:ReckoningVolume 6 ofthe rookies now fullGreenLanterns ona missionto one ofthe Lantern's home world.
And while everythingthat happens inthese issues willlikelyplayinto a larger storyline, it stillhad a beginning, middle, and end to it. Yes, please! Maywe have a few more tales like this? Also, this chick looks fuckingscary! So, the last halffelt like a comic book should, and the first halffelt like DC bendingme over I'mgettingthese fromthe library!

It's nice that VanJensenuses these last few issues to wrap up everythinghe's beenworkingonsince comingonto the title 20 issues ago, but there's a feelingthat there's stillsomethingmissingas the series closes out. The artwork fromBernard Changis excellent, as it has beenoneverybook he's GreenLanternCorps:ReckoningVolume 6 for the New However, whoever thought pairingMirko Colak withhimas a fill-inartist is a bit daft, because their styles are nowhere near the same, and so whenthe shift betweenthe two occurs mid-issue it reallyhurts the overallfeelofsaid issues.

The first halfofthis collectionis the GreenLanternCorps portions ofthe Godhead story, which, as usual, make no sense at allwithout the other GreenLanternstories included. I understand the completionist impulse to have everyissue inthe series collected inits ownvolumes, but it does readers no favors to present a third ofa storywithout anyintroductionor resolution.

It's also borrowed the GreenArrow's series' tendencyfor 'red silhouette actionpanels' whichdoesn't work anybetter here. But otherwise, the art is fine, and the storyfittingfor a GreenLanternseries. It's not the strongest endingone could GreenLanternCorps:ReckoningVolume 6 hoped for, but it's better thansome ofthe other New 52 titles did. Mar 14, WingKee rated it reallyliked it. A good end and one for the future. World: The art is good, I amstillnot use to the sudden"pop"panels as I find it sometimes is not inthe right place, but it is Bernard's style and it is his thing so yeah.
The world buildingis solid, nothingabsolutelyfantastic but the idea ofbuildingback the Corps image is good and the new Darkness stuffis interesting, but I would have liked a little bit more respite but that's just me. The pieces ofthe world we see are interestingand tied into charac A good end and one for the future. The pieces ofthe world we see are interestingand tied into characters makingthese new Lanterns and their piece ofthe world matter more.
Story:A good little wrap up storyfor the series. It's character drivenGreenLanternCorps:ReckoningVolume 6 the most part makingit good and the tie into Xanshiis good. The highlight ofcourse is Zeb and mommylanterngivingthe storymuchmore weight to the story.
The Darkness seems like aninterestingvillainvisually, but I would have liked a bit more time to give readers some respite fromGodhead and all the events that came before. Muchlike the GreenLanternseries a little bit ofslice oflife would have done a lot to give readers a breather. Good end withJohnand the send offhe deserves. Characters:Johnis a good character and one thingthe GL universe has done wellsince Rebirthis to distinguisheachEarthGL and give thema drive.
He's aninterestingcharacter to read and his journeyis good. The rest ofthe new squad is also great withtheir little stories and arcs makingit more character driventhanI expected.
It's good and that's the heart ofa good Corps story, the Lanterns. Good stuff. A good end to the series and a good build towards the future, thougha little breather would have beenwelcome. Onward to the next book! Feb 21, Andrea rated it reallyliked it Shelves:read-new Onlythree ofthe issues inGreenLanternCorps:ReckoningVolume 6 weren't inthe Godhead gn. Otherwise, a good ending. It wraps up most ofthe loose ends. Nov07, David rated it liked it.
GreenLanternCorps:ReckoningVolume 6 chose to read the Godhead event init's collected edition. Inthis book GreenLanternCorps: ReckoningVolume 6 issues fromthe event don't tella complete story, so I willfocus onthe finalstoryarc ofGreenLanternCorps.
I feellike the conclusionto GreenLanternCorps did a good job onseveralregards. The recruits that we met severalissues are now fullmembers and we continue to see their bonds deepen. There is almost a sort ofoptimismintheir progressionto fullmembers and inhow theydealwiththe enemyinthis arc I chose to read the Godhead event init's collected edition.
There is almost a sort ofoptimismintheir progressionto fullmembers and inhow theydealwiththe enemyinthis arc, the Shadow Empire. This optimismhelps to lift the storyfroma simple save the world storyinto a storyofsecond chances. I enjoyed the solid art work and the overall conclusion.
