A University of Idaho-Washington State University student team brought home another top prize in the nation’s biggest food development competition with a fruit-filled frozen yogurt treat covered in chocolate and granola. When a doctor must treat a critically ill patient, lab results are essential. But in rural areas speedy lab results can be hard to find. Without trained technicians at local hospitals, tests must be sent to and analyzed at remote sites, causing potentially dangerous delays in care.
