Dehradun, Dt. 02 february, 2014 The Chief Minister, , visited the slum colony

Sridev Suman Nagar, here, today. He enquired from the residents about their well being.

He discovered that one poor family had not received any government aid. On the spot, he gave directions to the DM, Dr

BVRC Purushottam, to grant government aid to the family. He also gave directions to the DM to identify families suffering from the effects of disaster and present a report within two months. The CM said that efforts would be made to connect the extremely poor and disadvantaged families with the government’s welfare schemes. He added that this was an essential humanitarian act. The residents of the slum colony were elated to have the Chief Minister of the state amongst them and apprised him about their problems. The CM promised an early solution to their problems. The CM also offered prayers at the Dargah in Sridev Suman

Nagar for peace and prosperity of all.

Dehradun, Dt. 02 february, 2014 The Chief Minister, Harish Rawat, paid a courtesy call on the Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Govind Singh Kunjwal, at his residence, here, today. He also held a meeting with the former CM of Uttarakhand, Major General BC Khanduri (Retd) at his residence.

He also called on Governor Dr Aziz Qureshi at the Raj Bhawan. During the visit, he also met the Governor’s mother and took her blessings. He continued on to meet MLA Dinesh Dhanai at his residence. Cabinet Ministers Pritam Singh Panwar and Mantri Prasad Naithani were also present at the meeting. After the visit, the CM, Cabinet Ministers and Dinesh Dhanai also addressed the journalists. The CM further met the BSP MLA, Sarwat Kareem Ansari.

The CM Shri Harish Rawat went to Gandhi Park in the morning to offer floral tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and Subhash Chandra Bose. He also remembered the soldiers and paid tribute at the Kargil Martyrs Memorial in the park. He also offered flowers before the statue of former Prime Minister Jawahar Lal Nehru situated near Gandhi Park. After this, he went to the Clock Tower to offer floral tribute to Indramani Badoni and Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar.

Before this, the CM met people at his residence. He heard their problems and gave directions to the officials concerned to solve the issues.
