With 506,000 listeners, or 13% market share, Nova 96.9 FM has Sydney’s second-largest commercial audience. Battle of the breakfasters Breakfast (5.30–9am) is traditionally one of commercial radio’s most competitive timeslots, and has been dominated in Sydney by Southern Cross Austereo-owned 2Day FM’s Kyle and Jackie O Show for years. The breakfast program has consistently achieved high ratings in its competitive timeslot in Sydney and last won the top ACRA accolade for two years running in 2006 and 2007. Winner of the Best On-Air Team (Metro AM) is well-known Melbourne 3AW breakfast team, Ross Stevenson and John Burns.
