The Panther softball team were swept in a doubleheader at IUPU- Indianapolis Thursday afternoon, 8-4, 4-3. Eastern (8-27) had a chance to defeat the Jaguars (19-28) in the second game of the twinbill, taking an early 2-0 lead. The Panthers scored a single run in the fourth, fifth and sixth innings, but IUPUI came back to tie the game up at three in the bottom of the sixth. The game went into extra innings before the Jaguars finally pulled out the win in the bottom of the ninth. Freshman Trish Sanders picked up the loss, despite giving up three runs on just six hits in 8 and 1/3 innings of work.
