Sean Willmore is a former Australian Park Ranger (11 years) and now Founder and Managing Director of the Thin Green SeanLine Foundation, Willmore and the current President Bio of the International Rangers Federation, a non-profit organization made up of 60 Ranger Associations in 46 countries, established to raise awareness of and support the critical work that the world’s park rangers do in conserving our natural and cultural heritage.

While undertaking his work Sean has travelled to and worked with rangers in over 50 countries on 6 continents where he has been ambushed, held a gunpoint, charged by elephants and avoided militias. His efforts to bring attention to the dangerous work undertaken by these warriors has won him international acclaim, through his documentary The Thin Green Line. Using profits from his film Sean started The Thin Green Line Foundation (TTGLF).

His continual inspiration is the men and women, the park rangers worldwide, he represents who do this front-line work on a daily basis.

In addition to producing an award winning documentary The Thin Green Line, Sean has also helped develop a popular series of children’s books (Ranger in Danger), music cd (Green Line Grooves), and numerous music events and fundraisers.

His supporters and TTGLF’s official Ambassadors include Dr Jane Goodall, Prof Tim Flannery. Musicians Gotye, , and the late Bryce Courtenay. Sean has also met with Prince William and Prince Charles after being invited to a conference on wildlife crime at St James Palace and subsequent events.

Sean is the recipient of a number of awards, including United Nations Association of Australia Environment Award, International Ranger Federation Presidents Award, Royal Humane Society of Australia Bravery award, Awarded Honorary Lifetime Californian Ranger Award, Herald Sun Pride of Australia Medal and the Sustainability Award for Contribution to Sustainability.

He has been the feature of a number of Media programs, including ABC’s Australian Story, Foreign Correspondent, and 730 report amongst many others.

He has been the key note speaker to business and government leaders, schools and community groups and continues create awareness and delivery of important support for the park rangers on the frontline of conservation.

General information

General speaking fee is $5000. However there is a sliding scale and this fee can be negotiated for schools and community organisations. There are also a limited amount of pro speaking events per annum.

AFEES 20% deposit &is required DEPOSIT for all speaker bookings. INFORMATION

The Host is expected to cover all incurred expenses, including, but not restricted, to travel related expenses for events outside of the Melbourne Metropolitan Region and accommodation.
