The petition involves the municipal signs in the Respondents’ jurisdictions. The Respondent-cities all have an Arab minority residing within their jurisdiction (6% of Tel Aviv-Jaffa residents, 19% of Ramle residents, 22% of Lod residents, and 13% of the residents of Upper Nazareth). The Petitioners argue that most of the municipal signage found within the Respondents’ jurisdictions are written in Hebrew and in English but not in Arabic. -
