Ooohhh I’m SO excited to have you here to share with you my Shui Top Tips to create your Office for success. Ken, have you had financial difficulty this year?

My husbands jaw dropped and shivers went up his spine.

I nearly fell of the chair in shock.

How did she know?

Ken is self employed and his main contractor that year had not paid him for over 6 months.

He was on the verge of bankruptcy.

As we delved into the of our home we discovered that the financial crisis we were going through was not our fault and could have been easily resolved.

Our house had been in a Money Lock.

Thankfully it all got resolved (using Feng Shui it could have been avoided)

We were in the first day of our official training as Feng Shui Consultants.

I had been interested in Feng Shui since I was sixteen reading books and doing a bit of DIY Feng Shui, but nothing prepared me for the power of what we were getting ourselves into and the transformations that it would have on our lives, business and simultaneously our clients lives and businesses when we embraced Feng Shui on a deeper level.

This is what I intend to share with you in this book is some easy practical tips to get you started with creating an office environment that is magnetic to your dreams and allows your business to soar to success.

Feng Shui is a 4,000 year old practice that is highly respected and considered a sacred practice in .

Feng Shui is a practical and tangible method for increasing abundance, health and wellbeing.

The irony of our lives in the modern day is we spend most of our entire lives struggling to increase our abundance and then spend billions of dollars universally trying to improve our health.

When there is an ancient tool! aka Feng Shui that can support you to just that with ease and flow.

I like to describe Feng Shui as for your home or office, as it uses the same five element theory as Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tai Chi, Gong and Acupuncture.

Feng Shui is all about energy and working positively with the energy in your environment to enhance all aspects of your life and business.

The biggest and most important thing about Feng Shui, is that each and every building, home or business has its own unique energetic blueprint.

Just like our own date of birth, signature energy, your building has its very own too. It has it's own personality, history and imprint on the world.

This is a level deeper than what I can cover today but its what I do to discover the houses story and energetic imprint.

• Books (if you’ve read them already – are you going to read them again?

• Equipment & Stationary that you no longer use

• Eliminate anything unrelated to building your empire this cause a distraction e.g. exercise equipment, children’s toys, suitcases

• Keep your screen clear (perhaps put your vision board on it)

• Get rid of unwanted files on your computer

• Delete emails and unwanted email addresses

Once your office is clear of the clutter and excess stuff… the next step is set up of your office.

If you are going to be the queen bee you need to sit in a seat the says I’m the BOSS. It also means you are comfortable when you’re working so that you can flow and allow the good things to flow into your world.

Ensure to have a comfortable supportive chair ideally with a high back – this give you support (physically but also emotionally and spiritually).

Set up your desk in your Power Position.

Your ‘Power Position’ is sitting so that you can see the door and see all of the opportunities coming your way and being supported from behind, aka have a wall behind you.

Avoid setting up any desk with your back to the door or a window.

Desk should also not be placed in front of a window.

Desk should not be facing a toilet door.

Arrange desks facing the same direction to avoid office politics.

Desk should be made out of wood.

Desk should not be placed under exposed beams or spotlights.

The shape of the desk should be rounded at the front to avoid pointed corners.

I know you have to keep some files for legal purposes and books for reference. I LOVE enclosed storage (when it’s neatly organised!!)

So if you have a choice between open shelves and covered storage I would pic the later but here some guidelines to storing what you have to keep.

• Keep books brought to the edge of the bookshelves

• Keep your files and storage labelled clearing

• Try to minimize open shelving units these can lead to distraction & clutter

• Investment and banking account information and statements in red folders.

Having art work that you love and things that inspire you is very useful because they are positively affecting your subconscious all day.

If there is a photo or painting in your office that you do not like (say it reminds you of your least favorite person or place) remove it!

Art is an excellent way to help create the symbols and images needed to help bring in good Chi to you, take a look around your home and office. What does your choice of artwork say about you?

Do you have pieces that you love and that inspire you or do you have pieces that no longer reflect who you are or who you want to be right now. Evaluate these and if they no longer fit who you are right now and the life you have chosen to lead, then they are ready to leave your environment.

Whether life imitates art or art imitates life, be sure that the art you choose to have in your environment is art that reflects the kind of life you want to enjoy. The art should represent the values you cherish and resonate with the joy you are choosing for your life today.

Have a family photo on your desk to make you smile throughout the day.

Place a picture of a solid mountain behind your desk this gives you support and protection against office politics and helps get your work and efforts recognized.

In a business it’s not a good idea to have a picture of stormy weather; a lot of the time, this will lead to stormy business.

A similar situation is having a picture of boats tide up against a dock. This shows the company can be stuck.

It’s a daily reminder of those things. Something you can look at every single day to remind you of your deepest desires. And it’s powerful.

Because the thing is, ATTENTION is powerful, and where your attention goes, your energy flows. And don’t you want your attention focused on the things that you want to attract in your life? So what is a vision board?

Get yourself in a powerful and empowered position. If you can't see the entrance to your cubicle when you are working at your desk, place a somewhere in front of you so you can see the reflection of the door or opening. Make sure your workspace is pleasing to your eye, uncluttered and comfortable to work in.

Consider using a curved keyboard designed to be easy on the hands and wrists. Choose an optical scan mouse that allows you to scroll more easily and that doesn't require a mouse pad—you can do without the clutter.

Bring living and flowing energy into your workspace. These features are important ways of compensating for the small size of your space and the constant traffic flows that pass by your cube.

Most probably, your cubicle will not have any windows to let you see the outside world. In such a case, you can hang some pictures of landscapes on the walls. It creates the illusion of windows and will help the flow of good Chi and also make you feel relaxed and at ease.

Bring a plant into your space; you can stimulate more active, vibrant energy.

Install full-spectrum lighting instead of fluorescent lights.

Avoid sharp angles pointing at people as they create attacking energy.

Create employment goals and decide which aspects of your career you would like to enhance. Keep it simple; focus on one or two improvements at a time. Now, make a firm commitment to yourself to achieve these goals.

Discard everything that you do not need and will not require in the future.

Always keep the customers coming in the right side door, and out the left side door.

The main entrance should be well lit, well marked and be free of obstacles.

The reception area should be warm and welcoming. The receptionist should not be in direct line of the entrance—too much Chi (receptionist may not last long in the position).

Ceiling or walls seeping water or moisture with cracks can indicate financial loss.

Ceilings should be high; if too low, it will create a feeling of pressure and can hinder the progress of the business.

The office of the boss should not be next to a water tap as this could lead to financial loss.

The office of the highest authority should be located the furthest from the front entrance.

It is best when office doors do not open directly across from each other.

All living things such as plants and aquariums should be thriving healthy and well cared for.

Always have items that allow you to feel comfortable around you.

Plants absorb potentially harmful gases and clean the air. During the day they take the air we breathe out and recycle it.

Only have things around that inspire you and make you feel good. What do you see when you look out your window? Windows represent how you look out on life. Do you look at the world through a murky lens? Regularly cleaning your windows and office, including emptying garbage bins daily, will keep the energy fresh.
