Ten Mantra Treasure Gourd ƒ A Secret Within a Secret

If you are reading this document, you should also read Ten Mantra Treasure Vase, which is also found in Deep Wisdom: Healing, Main Volume. The sacred gourd will be more effective than the vase to help someone who is possessed or seriously ill, however the sacred vase may be just what you need in your particular circumstance. Review both documents carefully before you make your decision about the appropriate item to use in your situation. It is vitally important to concentrate, focus on the visualizations, and keep your use of this cure to yourself. The suggested number of red envelopes to receive in exchange for this information is 27. Use your utmost discretion as you decide with whom to share this secret of secrets. Materials: One gourd with an easily discernable neck, and with a cap (The size will depend upon use, so keep reading before you make a purchase.) Read A Bit of History at the end of this document. One piece of red ribbon cut either 9 inches in length, or a multiple of 9. It must be long enough to tie around the neck of the gourd. Procedure Before Use of the Gourd: 1. Perform this procedure either between 11 to 1 midday, or 11 to 1 midnight. This is done one time only, and here are Professor’s words about this one-time ritual: The chanting is extremely rich and very strong. You can “always” use the vase, and it will be an “endless resource.” You can draw from it “forever,” and “it will never need a new battery.” However, do not forget to reinforce this power with the Three Secrets each time you use the sacred vase. (There is more information about this unending power at the end of this document.) 2. Begin by tying the red ribbon around the neck of the gourd. Now you are ready to proceed. 3. Chant 10 mantras into the gourd in the following manner: a. Uncap the gourd. b. Chant one mantra 9 times as you simultaneously flick your fingers 9 times using the Ousting Mudra. (One recitation, one flicking motion) (See Mudras in Deep Wisdom: Healing, Companion Volume.) c. Then blow 3 times into the gourd, simultaneously flicking your fingers 3 times using the Ousting Mudra as you blow. (You will flick a total of 3 times—one breath, one flick.) d. Repeat steps b and c above until you have chanted 10 mantras into the gourd. © Katherine Metz 2 Important Notes: If you do not know 10 mantras, you can chant the mantra of Lord Tonpa Shenrab 108 times into the gourd. (This is Professor’s second choice.) Om Ma Tri Mu Ye Sa Le Du Or Professor added another possibility: Chant the Six True Words 108 times Om Ma Ni Pad Me Hum And Chant the Calming Heart Mantra 9 times. Gatay Gatay, Para Gatay, Para Sam Gatay, Bodhi Swaha e. Visualize that the light of the Buddhas is shining brightly. See the light, characters, and sound of the mantras, infused into the gourd. f. Here is the secret within the secret. Now chant the Kalachakra Mantra into the gourd 9 times while simultaneously flicking your fingers 9 times using the Ousting Mudra. Om Ah Hom, Om Ah Hom, Om Ah Hom, Cha MaLa Wa La Ya Soha1 g. Visualize that the light of the Buddhas is shining brightly. See the light, characters, and sound of the mantra, infused into the gourd. h. Put the cap back on the gourd. Do not forget this important step. Precious Uses of the Gourd: 1. To guard the house and offer protection, place the gourd in the following manner: a. Uncap the gourd and place it discretely in the house, store, factory etc. The placement should be strategic, not prominent. This is the yin placement (unlike the placement of the Ten Mantra Treasure Vase). You do not want to create curious questioning. This placement is especially important if there has been an inauspicious event such as a robbery, illness, death, etc. It is also an important placement if evil events happen over and over again, or happen unexpectedly. b. Place the gourd inside the home or office, on its side, with the mouth of the gourd facing the main door. This can be to either the right or left of the door. It can also be hung facing the door. If any bad chi enters, it will be “absorbed” into the gourd where it will be “dissolved.” Used in this manner, the gourd will remain uncapped. Reinforce with the Three Secrets. Visualize that any inauspicious chi will be “absorbed and dissolved.” Also, visualize that all auspicious chi will pour forth into the building providing protection and blessings.

1This mantra falls into the category of “totally incomprehensible.” You can choose to chant the Tibetan sequence: Ah Om Hom, Ah Om Hom, Ah Om Hom, Cha MaLa Wa La Ya Soha.

If the gourd is small, it can be used in the same way as a small Buddha statue—hidden on a beam (with the mouthpiece facing the door.) e. In all cases, remember to leave the gourd uncapped. 2. To promote safe travel, the gourd can be placed in a car, boat, train, airplane, etc. a. Uncap the gourd and place it at the back of the vehicle, on its side, with the mouthpiece facing the person driving, or piloting, the craft. b. Reinforce with the Three Secrets. 3. According to Chinese folklore, the Treasure Gourd has the power to capture ghosts, demons, and evil spirits. Its blessing power is very high and can expel any strange or unwanted chi. a. Uncap the gourd and aim the mouth of the gourd at any negative or inauspicious place, or at any person possessed by evil chi.2 This possession is often felt as cold, a chill, or dampness. Perform the Three Secrets Reinforcement using the Ousting Mudra. Visualize that the evil spirit, demon, or negative chi is drawn into the gourd. Leave the gourd in place for at least 15 minutes. See the bad chi “dissipate and then vanish completely.” Then cap the gourd. The gourd will also be effective to absorb illness chi from a person or place. The difficultchi will all be “dissolved,” and there will be no need to do anything further.3 You can use the gourd to help a child with spirit attachments that are adversely affecting the child’s performance at school. You can use the gourd to absorb any evil or yin chi from yourself. The procedure is the same. You can use the gourd to overcome any deficiency, including a Five Element imbalance. You can use the gourd to eliminate the effect of living on a cul-de-sac. b. This method will be effective if you have “faith” and “complete sincerity.” You must know in your heart that the evil chi and/or evil spirits have been successfully drawn into the gourd. Treat this method with great respect, and do not “laugh about it” with others. c. Do not mention this cure to anyone. It should be undetectable. It is vitally important to concentrate, focus on the visualizations, and keep your use of the cure to yourself.

2Do not use the Ten Mantra Treasure Vase to help someone who is possessed. Use only the gourd to absorb evil chi from a person.

3Even if a gourd has absorbed bad chi, it has been “dissolved” and the gourd can be used again to absorb auspicious chi.

Within 24 hours of chanting the mantras into the gourd, take it to 9 places with either very good business chi or with abundant spiritual and/ or wealth chi. You can absorb the wealth chi of a bank. Uncap the gourd and visualize the money chi entering the gourd. You can absorb the career chi in an office building. Uncap the gourd and visualize the chi of expertise and advancement entering the gourd. You can also absorb the auspicious and happy chi at a wedding. Note: If you must collect this auspicious chi at night when an establishment is closed, you can stand outside. Visualize that the chi from inside is being absorbed into the gourd. This requires a very high spiritual cultivation. Professor then made the following comment: If your cultivation is high enough, you don’t even need to leave your house. “You can simply visualize.” Note from Katherine: Be careful here. There was that twinkle in Professor’s eyes. b. At each place, uncap the gourd and perform the Three Secrets Reinforcement visualizing that auspicious and prosperous chi are drawn into the gourd. The length of time you spend visualizing will vary depending upon your spiritual ability. However, you must do this inconspicuously. “You do not want anyone to mistake you for someone who is mentally unstable.” Recap the gourd when you are ready to leave one location and move to another. c. Return home or to your office, uncap the gourd and aim the mouth of the gourd, now filled with auspiciouschi , at the trigram position that needs adjustment. Reinforce with the Three Secrets, visualizing that the auspicious chi is filling the trigram position, and, in turn, the entire space. State your desires with clarity and precision. Also, visualize that all the mantra chi is pouring out of the gourd into the space. This includes the Kalachakra mantras. They are all released into the space. The Lord of the trigram, the guardian, will be invigorated. Focus clearly and precisely on the visualization. You may leave the gourd in place as long as you wish. The secret here is to be discreet. The gourd should not draw attention. Do not joke or talk about the gourd, or the “power will be broken.” d. Use the gourd to activate only one gua (one trigram) at a time. The results of doing more will “not be good.”

Question: A Mystical Healing Center has been created in a former funeral home. I will be teaching there along with other teachers from the community. What can I do as a Feng Shui practitioner? Professor answered: Use the gourd to absorb the yin chi, and use a white light flashlight in conjunction with a Sun Moon to clear the space. The student asked a second question: Is that all? Professor answered: That’s all. The student asked a third question: How many red envelopes should I receive? Professor answered: 99 Note from Katherine: Please pay attention to this admonition about red envelopes! 6. Here is another advanced use of the gourd from Professor: If you are going to court, prepare ahead of time in the following manner. Go to the courtroom with the gourd already infused with 10 mantras. Open the top and absorb the chi of the judge. Take the gourd home, place it with care and visualize that the judge sees your point of view. He or she understands your argument. You are now ready for the actual encounter. Important Distinctions: 1. If your is very high, you can use this method to help someone who is far away and in danger. 2. The gourd gathers strength and power each time it is used. It is a spiritual item and will not be diminished by use.

The natural gourds are from , and we had the weather to thank for their small size. A typhoon created the conditions that did not allow the gourds to grow to their normal size. “In principle, the natural gourds are more desirable. However, the transcendental effect is equal.” 2. The Ching Dynasty scholar and artist Zheng Banqiao (1693 – 1765) wrote a poetic song that serves as testimony to the strength and power of the gourd. It is taken from Zheng Banquao’s Ten Taoist Songs.

There’s an old Taoist master, clad in coir raincoat, carrying a cloth bundle, with a gourd on his back. Wearing shoes made of palm leaves, and with matching cloth socks. He can fix your zither, and sell you medicinal herbs; he can do it all. He can capture ghosts and apprehend demons; he’s mighty able. By the white clouds and red leaves, he returns via a mountain path. I have heard that this Taoist master lives in a cave by the hanging cliff, But where does one begin to search for him? Note: The native religion of is . According to Chinese folklore, the highest lord carries a gourd on his back. Our use of the gourd is a Chinese folklore practice. Your “Endless Resource:” Once you recite into the gourd, it becomes a spiritual object. Once you use it to receive auspicious chi (using the Three Secrets Reinforcement), the stronger the gourd becomes. You can choose to use a new gourd each time, but the effect will not be as strong. The same is true of all sacred objects. An old and used sacred object has strong spiritual power, and is even more powerful than a new object. This is true even if you have used the sacred object to rid a place of evil spirits. You cannot use mundane thinking when considering the lasting power of a sacred object. In the mundane sense, a gourd “captures” the evil spirit and you think you have a vase full of evil chi in need of clearing. In the transcendental sense, a sacred gourd “dissolves” or “dissipates” the evil. The difficultchi no longer exists, and there is no need to clear or replace the gourd. There is no need to “rest” or “retire” it. It has become more powerful. If you move the gourd (or other sacred object) to a new place to accomplish a new result, carefully reinforce with the Three Secrets.
