Expect few if any changes to his side for this match but if any player possibly earning themselves a promotion to the starting side it is James Demetriou who has scored twice in as many weeks after coming off the bench. Star midfielder and former A-League player Devante Clut was an unused substitute against APIA so he may be another player who could be elevated into the line-up. Biczo’s goal helped APIA take home a point from a tentative display from both sides with the match only coming alive in the final stages of the clash. Blacktown’s James Demetriou would’ve have thought he’d won it for his side when he scored off the bench at Lambert Park for the second week in a row, but Biczo was on hand a few minutes later to save the day for the hosts. It was the second low scoring draw in as many weeks for the Tigers who once again missed the chance to take top spot. Rockdale City Suns FC 2 v Sydney FC 1 at Ilinden Sports Centre A two-goal flurry inside three second half minutes has helped Rockdale City Suns to a confidence boosting 2-1 win against Sydney FC at Ilinden Sports Centre on Sunday. Aleks Canak and Alec Urosevski’s strikes midway through the second stanza lifted the Rockdale faithful and helped interim coach Nick Porecca to his second straight National Premier Leagues NSW Men’s win. A first half dominated by the goalkeepers opened up after the break with Rockdale desperately pushing for an opening goal. However, with 20 minutes let on the clock Canak broke through the resilient Sydney defence and Urosevski followed only moments later. A late goal to Marco Tilio for the Young Sky Blues made for a tetchy closing minutes but a dramatic equaliser wasn’t to be as Rockdale climbed up the table with a big home victory. 6 #NPLNSW TEAM OF THE WEEK 01: LARGE USE: OVER 150MM WIDE This logo has a smaller ‘®’ symbol FOOTBALL NSW WOULD LIKE TO THANK THEIR SPONSORS FOR THEIR CONTINUED SUPPORT 02: SMALL USE: 55MM - 150MM WIDE This logo has a larger ‘®’ symbol NPLNSW.COM.AU 7 SILVER SPONSORS SILVER SPONSORS SILVER SPONSORS NPLNSW.COM.AU 9 U20’S TEAM LISTS 25 Mason Ingram 26 Joshua Jenicek 26 Alen Aganovic 27 Jackson Angelou 27 Alec Purves 28 Caleb Bartier 29 Daniel Colosimo 29 Vinko Gacic 30 Adolph Koudakpo 30 Nathan Manno 31 Jack Hutchings 31 Mouhamed Hamdache 32 Carlos De Olivera 32 Mohamed Ahmed 33 Anthony Gallo 33 James Cakovski 34 Suley Bangura 34 Jacob Botic (GK) 35 Rhett Desilva 35 Noah Botic 37 George Medakovic 38 Samuel Shainfeld 39 Alexander Fadel 40 Gabriel Cole 41 Gabriel Contigiani Coach: Andy Montgomery 44 Daniel Maras Assistant Coach: Daniel Lownds Manager: Dean Montgomery Coach: Steve Zoric Assistant Coach: Gary Deprato Manager: Jack Bulis U20’S - NPL NSW MEN’S POS TEAM P W D L F A GD PTS 1 Blacktown City FC 7 6 0 1 16 5 11 18 2 Sydney Olympic FC 7 5 1 1 13 9 4 16 3 Rockdale City Suns FC 7 4 1 2 14 9 5 13 4 Mt Druitt Town Rangers FC 7 3 2 2 13 9 4 11 5 APIA Leichhardt Tigers FC 7 3 2 2 9 5 4 11 6 Sutherland Sharks FC 7 3 2 2 8 8 0 11 7 Wollongong Wolves FC 7 3 0 4 7 12 -5 9 8 Sydney FC 7 1 4 2 10 8 2 7 9 Manly United FC 6 2 0 4 7 13 -6 6 10 Marconi Stallions FC 6 1 2 3 6 11 -5 5 11 Sydney United 58 FC 7 1 1 5 5 12 -7 4 12 Hakoah Sydney City East FC 7 0 3 4 10 17 -7 3 10 #NPLNSW U20’S MATCH PREVIEW Blacktown City take on third-placed Rockdale City Rockdale drew 1-1 with Sydney FC last weekend; Jake Suns on Sunday afternoon, with the visitors eager to Trajkovski scoring the only goal for his side.
