That theme was: to repent. Mattithyah 3:1-7— 1 In those days came Yahchanan the Immerser, preaching at Abel to those who reverence Yahweh, 2 And saying; Repent! For the Kingdom of Yahweh is at hand! 3 For this is he who was spoken of by the pro phet Isayah, saying; The voice of one crying at Abel; Prepare the way of Yahweh, make straight a highway for our Father. 4 This Yahchanan; Yahweh is Merciful, wore a tallit of rough linen, and he was zealous for the Law of Yahweh because he was trained to be a teacher, namely, of the Law of Yahweh. 5 Then people from Yerusalem and all Yahdah, and from all the region surrounding Yardan went out to him; 6 And confessing their sins, they were bap tized by him in the Yardan River. 7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to his baptism, he said to them; O brood of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the judgment to come? Yahchanan the Immerser came preparing the Way of Yahweh—the way for the first coming of Yahshua Messiah. In Luke 3:1, we read that Lysanias was tetrarch of Abilene when Yahchanan began his ministry. Luke 3:1— Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, when Pontius Pilate was governor of Yahdah, Herod was tetrarch of Galilee, his brother Philip was tetrarch of the region of Ituraea and Trachonitis, Lysanias was tetrarch of Abilene, Remember the word Abilene. Yahshua Came Preaching Repentance The accepted teaching of this sin-sick [Protestant-Catholic-Christian] world is just “accept Jesus Christ as your personal savior, and you are instantly saved.” Well, this teaching just does not come from the Scriptures. This teaching is a Satan-inspired lie to deceive this world, effectively lulling this world into a feeling of security; a feeling which keeps them from repenting of their sins, and therefore keeps them from turning to Yahweh. 3 However, Yahshua Messiah showed the way to salvation in the same way that Yahchanan the Immerser did—through repentance. Mattithyah 4:17— From that time Yahshua began to preach, and to say: Repent, for the Kingdom of Yahweh is at hand! The plan of salvation was not changed after Yahshua Messiah was resurrected and ascended to sit at Yahweh’s right hand. Long after Yahshua’s death, His disciples were still teaching the very same things that Yahshua had taught. Yahchanan Mark 6:12— So they went out, and preached that men should repent. If you will not repent, then you will perish. This was the Message preached then by Yahchanan the Immerser, by Yahshua Messiah, and by His disciples. This is the Message of The House of Yahweh today. Luke 13:1-5— 1 At that time there were some present who told Him about the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2 But Yahshua, rebuking, said to them: Do you think that these Galileans were sinners above every other Galilean, because they suffered such things? 3 I tell you, No! But unless you repent you will all likewise perish! 4 Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were sinners above every man who lived in Yerusalem? 5 I tell you, No! But unless you repent, you will all likewise perish! The repentance taught by Yahchanan, and by Yahshua and His disciples, was not an empty, faithless act of coming to the altar of some church, saying that they accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior, while they continued to practice a life of sin. Repentance is not just saying “I’m sorry.” Repentance is when you say that you are sorry that you have spent years practicing the breaking of Yahweh’s Laws, but you are now willing to live by every Word of Yahweh—just as Yahshua Messiah taught. When Yahshua was being tempted by the devil to break Yahweh’s Law, Yahshua Messiah replied: Mattithyah 4:4— But He answered, and said; It is written: Man does not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of Yahweh. Yahchanan the Immerser warned us not to be complacent about our calling. Mattithyah 3:8-10— 8 Bring forth fruits befitting repentance! 9 And do not think you can say to yourselves: We have Abraham as our father! For I say to you that Yahweh is able to raise up chil dren to Abraham from these stones! 10 And the ax is already laid against the root of the trees. Therefore, every 4 tree which does not bear righteous fruit is cut down, and cast into the fire. Yahchanan, Yahshua Messiah, and His disciples proclaimed the Plan of Yahweh from the beginning to all who would listen. Yahchanan told of the job to be done; telling of the servants who were needed in order to help take the Message of the Kingdom of Yahweh to all the world. This Message, the Message of the Kingdom of Yahweh, is also the very same Message Yahshua announced. Yahweh could not use just anyone to take His Message to all the world, because if they were not willing to repent of their sins, they certainly could not be used to teach His Laws to others. What Is Sin? Sin is simply the breaking of Yahweh’s Law, it is as simple as that. I Yahchanan 3:4— Whoever commits sin, transgresses also the Law; for sin is the transgression of the Law. If one were to refuse to repent of sin, repent of ever breaking the Law of Yahweh, then it is a certain fact that one would never teach the Way of Yahweh—obedience to Yahweh’s Law—to others. However, Yahchanan the Immerser, Yahshua Messiah, and His disciples did not practice breaking the Law of Yahweh. They told all who would hear to repent of sin—to repent of breaking Yahweh’s Laws. Yahweh will not use anyone who is not willing to work for Him. Yahweh has a job to be accomplished: a job of telling this whole world of the Kingdom of Yahweh, which is the Government of Yahweh on this earth. The Kingdom of Yahweh is Yahweh’s Kingdom on earth, which will rule all nations (Zecharyah 14—Daniyl 7). Yahweh will only use teachers who are willing to submit to His Laws; who are willing to be governed by the Laws of the Kingdom of Yahweh. The reason Yahchanan first came teaching the people to repent was to find the people whom Yahweh could use to take His Message of His Government to all the world. This is why Yahshua chose particular disciples. They were willing to repent of sin; willing to live by the Law of Yahweh; willing to turn their energy to spreading Yahweh’s Name and Yahweh’s governing Laws to everyone. Because they were willing, they were chosen to do the Work of Yahweh. Yes, the Message is clear to all who hear. There will be no salvation for anyone, unless one is willing to repent and turn from sin. Those who will not repent of their sins and turn to practicing the Law of Yahweh, will simply perish, just as you have read for yourself in Luke 13:5. Repentance and turning to Yahweh in obedience is contrary to the 5 modern customary teachings of this world. However, anything that is written in the Scriptures seems to be contrary to the world’s teachings. It is Satan who wants you to think that all you must do in order to be saved is believe. However, the disciples of Yahshua Messiah did not believe this. Yaaqob 2:18-20— 18 Yes, a man may say: You have faith, and I have works. Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works! 19 You believe that there is one Father? You do well; the demons also believe, and tremble. 20 But are you willing to know, O vain man, that the faith without works is dead? The Holy Scriptures just do not teach an “only believe” way to salvation.
