A multi-storey car park is next to the venue on Chapel Street. This is open 24 hours. The Flowerpot is famed for its vast choice of real ales and is now recognised as one of the best live music venues in the country. The capacity is 250 if standing and 150 if the show is all seated. If you are travelling a long way, please check that tickets are still available for the show. If you are travelling by bus or train, the main stations are approximately 20 minutes walk from the venue - just head for the Derby Cathedral and the Flowerpot is 100 yards further on up the road. Another chance to see some of the regular top bands & artistes that are again touring this Spring and thankfully have included the Flowerpot as part of their trek around the UK and Europe. In particular it’s great to see Colin Blunstone, Ian McNabb, Curved Air and the return after nearly 2 years of a Flowerpot fave Nine Below Zero. Plenty of new names to look out for this Spring as well. Uli Jon Roth is rightly recognised as one of the world’s most outstanding guitarists. 5 years with The Scorpions and now also known for inventing his own unique instrument, the 6-octave Sky guitar. Now when it comes to iconic bands, they say there were three bands that led the British Beat Boom: The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Pretty Things. He cut frontman Colin Blunstone and his all star band per- 5 albums with them, including several gold ones - 'Tokyo forming hits from his illustrious solo career, spanning Tapes', which sold nearly 1 million copies. In 1978-1985 he over two decades, including 'Say You Don’t Mind', 'I formed his own band ELECTRIC SUN recording 3 albums. Their hard-edged blues-rock, influenced by Bo Diddley and Jimmy Reed, transformed into psychedelic rock. ‘SF Sorrow' was the first rock opera, preceding The Who's ‘Tommy' by six months. In the intervening years, The Pretty Things have lost none of their power or edge and are still fronted by lead singer Phil May and original Rolling Stones guitarist Dick Taylor.
