The town lies on the banks of the River Usk and offers a wide range of recreational and outdoor activities both within the town and in the surrounding countryside. The neighbouring market town of Abergavenny, approximately 8 miles away, offers even further facilities including a general hospital and a main line railway station from which London Paddington can be reached in three hours and Cardiff within an hour. Communications within the area are considered excellent with A465 Heads Of The Valleys Road being only approximately four miles away and this in turn leads to the A40, the A4042 trunk routes at Abergavenny and consequently onto the M50 and M4 motorways. DIRECTIONS Pass through Crickhowell and continue along the A40 for a couple of miles until reaching the Nant-Y-Ffin Restaurant on the right hand side. Continue along the A40 until reaching the Kestral Pub. Take the turning opposite the pub and continue along this road and Pen-Y-Gaer can be found on your right hand side. SERVICES Mains electricity. Oil fired central heating. Septic tank drainage and spring water supply shared with other neighbouring properties. The cooker hob is run by bottled gas.
