January 19, 2021 Dear Residents, We Are Approaching a Year Since The January 19, 2021 Dear Residents, We are approaching a year since the COVID-19 pandemic began and, as I’m sure you all know, even though cases continue to surge, a vaccine is finally becoming available to us. We continue to follow Ohio Governor Mike DeWine’s guidance and, at this time, the 10-person limitation for gatherings remains in effect. Therefore, we continue to meet remotely and prohibit meetings or gatherings at our public buildings/facilities. Below is information about vaccines and some general Village updates. I encourage all of you to receive the vaccine as soon as you are eligible and it becomes available. It is our best opportunity to get back to a normal lifestyle. COVID-19 VACCINATIONS. The Governor and the Cuyahoga County Board of Health will determine when, where and to whom vaccines will be administered. Our local Mass Inoculation Point of Distribution (MIPOD) is ready for activation, but it is up to the Board of Health to decide if and when they will utilize it. For the most up-to-date information, visit the State’s website at https://coronavirus.ohio.gov/wps/portal/gov/covid- 19/covid-19-vaccination-program where vaccination locations arelisted and searchable by Zip Code. Vaccination locations in Cuyahoga County are also available at the Board of Health website and will continue to be updated at https://www.ccbh.net/covid-19-phase-1b-provider-list/. For your convenience, enclosed with this letter is a current list of local providers. As of now, the vaccine is not available to the general public at large, but only to certain age groups or status. Please understand that even if you are included in a listed group, enough vaccine will not be immediately available for everyone in that group. PLEASE BE PATIENT AS IT WILL TAKE SOME TIME TO VACCINATE EVERYONE. The first phase, Phase 1A, includes first responders and health care providers. The schedule for Phase 1B is: The week of Jan. 19: Ohioans 80 years of age and older. The week of Jan. 25: Ohioans 75 years of age and older; those with severe congenital or developmental disorders. The week of Feb. 1: Ohioans 70 years of age and older; employees of K-12 schools that wish to remain or return to in-person or hybrid models. The week of Feb. 8: Ohioans 65 years of age and older. In Cuyahoga County, eligible residents can sign up to receive a notification when a clinic and vaccine is available at https://www.ccbh.net/vax/. However, the Board of Health has indicated that it could take longer to go this route, and recommends that eligible residents contact the local providers on the list. As has been true throughout the pandemic, information changes rapidly, so please go to the State of Ohio or Board of Health website for the most updated information. We will keep our website updated as well and please don’t hesitate to call us at 440-461-2210 if you need assistance. January 19, 2021 Page Two VILLAGE FACILITIES/PROGRAMMING. All Village buildings remain closed to the public. The Civic Center and Community Room remain closed for meetings and private rentals and will not re-open until the 10-person limitation is lifted by Governor DeWine. Limited recreational programming will begin in the spring, following all CDC and Board of Health guidance. Call the Parks & Recreation Department at 440-461-5163 for information. VILLAGE PERSONNEL. Village personnel continue to work from home as much as possible and remain ready to assist you. General questions or comments should be sent to [email protected] or call 440-461-2210. COUNCIL MEETINGS. Council and certain Commissions and Boards continue to meet remotely. Meetings are live-streamed on YouTube. Links are posted on our website several minutes before the meeting begins and, if you cannot watch it live, the recording is available to watch later. If residents have questions or comments for Council, they can be sent in ahead of the meeting and will be read into the record. MARCH 16, 2021 SPECIAL ELECTION. The Civic Center will be open on Tuesday, March 16 from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. for a Special Election. Only two issues will be on the ballot—proposed Charter amendments to impose term limits on the Mayor and Council. There will be more information about these ballot issues in the upcoming issue of the Voice of the Village. Please vote by mail, if you can, and if you come to the Civic Center on election day, please know that masks and social distancing will be required. Vote by Mail Ballot Applications are available at https://boe.cuyahogacounty.gov/en-US/vote- by-mail.aspx or you can call the Civic Center at 440-461-2210 and we will mail one to you. MEALS FOR SENIORS. Hillcrest Meals on Wheels and the Community Partnership on Aging (CPA) continue to offer meals to seniors and other eligible residents on a delivery basis. If you are able to assist with meal delivery or if you are in need, please call the CPA at 216-291-3902. We have not yet made any decisions about special events for 2021. As our community begins to receive the vaccine, we hope to be able to move forward with at least limited programming. Expect to receive updates as spring approaches and please check our website, view our Facebook pages, read the Voice of the Village, or call or e-mail us for more information. Please stay safe and continue to follow all CDC and Board of Health guidance, even after you receive the vaccine. And remember, we are finally getting close to the end of this with better times expected ahead. Sincerely, Brenda T. Bodnar Mayor Enclosure: Local COVID-19 Phase 1B Vaccine Providers LOCAL COVID-19 PHASE 1B VACCINE PROVIDERS You must directly contact the provider of your choice from this list to schedule a vaccine appointment. If you have signed up at www.ccbh.net/vax to be notified when spots are open at one of the County Board of Health’s COVID clinics, you will still be able to receive a vaccine from them, but you may wait longer than if you choose a provider from this list. • CMA Landscape Master Plan
THE CLEVELAND MUSEUM OF ART LANDSCAPE MASTER PLAN DECEMBER 2018 LANDSCAPE MASTER PLAN The rehabilitation of the Cleveland Museum of Art’s grounds requires the creativity, collaboration, and commitment of many talents, with contributions from the design team, project stakeholders, and the grounds’ existing and intended users. Throughout the planning process, all have agreed, without question, that the Fine Arts Garden is at once a work of landscape art, a treasured Cleveland landmark, and an indispensable community asset. But the landscape is also a complex organism—one that requires the balance of public use with consistency and harmony of expression. We also understand that a successful modern public space must provide more than mere ceremonial or psychological benefits. To satisfy the CMA’s strategic planning goals and to fulfill the expectations of contemporary users, the museum grounds should also accommodate as varied a mix of activities as possible. We see our charge as remaining faithful to the spirit of the gardens’ original aesthetic intentions while simultaneously magnifying the rehabilitation, ecological health, activation, and accessibility of the grounds, together with critical comprehensive maintenance. This plan is intended to be both practical and aspirational, a great forward thrust for the benefit of all the people forever. 0' 50' 100' 200' 2 The Cleveland Museum of Art Landscape Master Plan 3 ACKNOWLEDGMENTS CMA Landscape Master Plan Committee Consultants William Griswold Director and President Sasaki Heather Lemonedes
