Commemoration of St. Gabriel, Archangel 12:00pm Low Mass Please make checks payable to: Joseph Lenzi, RIP (by Kim family) Institute of Christ the King Thursday, March 25 Donate online: www.icksp.org/columbus-home ANNUNCIATION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY (1st class; White) Commemoration of the Feria of Passiontide 7:00pm Low Mass Sanctus Candle Jason & Mark Markey, RIP (by Lori & Dave Mitchell) During Low Masses, the Sanctus candle now burns Friday, March 26 on the right side of the altar near the center from Mass of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows (White) the beginning of the Canon (after the Sanctus) Commemoration of the Feria of Passiontide until the end of the distribution of Holy 12:00pm Low Mass followed by Stations of the Cross Communion. Though in practice rarely used, the Marguerite Frizzell Sanctus candle has always been included in the 7:00pm Holy Hour of Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament rubrics of the Missal and remains a beautiful Saturday, March 27 symbol for the holiest portion of the Mass. The Feria of Passiontide (3rd class; Violet) use of the Sanctus candle mirrors the role of the Commemoration of St. John Damascene, Confessor & Doctor torchbearers at High Mass.
