1915 PREFACE.

To TS catalogue comprises all that has been published by the Government of Tasmania respecting the economic mining, geology, and mineralogy of the State up to the 31st December, 1914. Many of the pUblications are now out of print, but can be consulted in the Journals of Parliament. In each case the nature of the publication, whether a Parliamentary Paper, a Mines Department Report, a Geological Survey Bulletin, &c., has been stated so as to facilitate reference. Further information may be obtained on application to either the Secretary for Mines or the Geological Survey. Many enquiries are received by the Geological Survey with respect to reports and other publications included in the catalogue, and it is hoped that this issue will satisfy requirements in that directioll_
