At tbe time of Flight 759's t&eo€f. there were showers over the east end of the airport and to the easi of the airport along the &@me's intended takeoff path. The. winds at the time were gust:. variable, end swirling. Clipper 759 lifted off the rmway, climbed to an altitude of between 95 feet to abut 150 feet ebove the ground, and then begtin to descend. The airplane struck a line of trees about 2,376 feet beyond the depclrture end of runwa>t 15 at an &titube of abut 50 feet above the ground. The airplane contimed on an eastward track for another 2.234 feet hitting trees and houses and then crashed in a residential area about 4.610 feet fmm the end of the runway. The company takeoff computation form completed by the flightcrew Cdntained the foEowing dats &timated takeoff grcss weight - 170,000 I@ takeoff flap setting-- Eo; center of gravity/stabilizer Dim setting - 21.3 percent mean aerodynamic chord (MAC); takeoff temperature - 33OC (91O F); wind - 320° at 3 knots; and altimeter setting-29.98 i&g. The target, engine pressure ratics (EPR) were 1-90on engines Nos. 1 end 3, end 1.92 on engine No. 2. Critical engine failure speed W! and rotation speed (Vr) were 138 knots indicated

PURPOSE: The notification advises all aircraft owners, operators, manufacturers, maintenance organizations, parts suppliers and distributors regarding the unapproved parts produced by Watson’s Profiling Corporation, located in Ontario, CA 91761. BACKGROUND: Information received during a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Suspected Unapproved Parts (SUP) investigation revealed that between August 2005 and November 2007, Watson’s Profiling Corp., 1460 Balboa Avenue, Ontario, CA 91761, produced and sold parts (SEE ATTACHED PARTS LIST) without Direct Ship or Drop Ship authority from The Boeing Company. Furthermore, Watson’s Profiling Corp. is not an FAA Production Approval Holder. The parts produced by Watson’s Profiling Corporation have the following characteristics. • Their accompanying documentation indicates that the parts were manufactured by Watson’s, Profiling; however, they did not have FAA approval to manufacture and sell the parts as FAA-approved replacement parts. In addition, the investigation determined that some parts passed through various distributors. The majority, which were sold by Fossco Inc., 1211 Rainbow Avenue, Suite A, Pensacola, FL 32505. Coddington The Boeing 727-200 and 757-200 are both narrowbody aircraft designed for short- to medium-range flights carrying 164 to 214 passengers. Until recently, when overtaken by the Boeing 737, the 727-200 program was the most successful aircraft program in history. The 727 airplane has carried 2.3 billion passengers, equivalent to half the world's population (Sterling, 1992). More than half of all 727s sold were advanced 200s and as late as 1990 an incredible 50% of all U.S. passenger traffic had flown on 727-200s since the advanced model was launched in 1971.

Leeker First published on 15 August 2003, last updated on 24 August 2015 The types of missions flown by Air America’s Boeing 727s: Although three Boeing 727s had been ordered by Air Asia, none of them was ever operated by Air America, but all of them were used by Southern Air Transport on an MAC contract. Connie Seigrist, one of the pilots who flew the 727s, recalls: “February 1967 – I left Intermountain Aviation of Marana, Arizona to rejoin the CAT Complex of the Agency to fly B-727’s of Southern Air Transport. All of my flying was in support of the Agency’s requirements in the area. Part of the flying was for the Korean troops, transportation to and from Korea to Vietnam. The flying was routine: Military personnel and cargo transportation. Enemy ground fire was always a threat on final when landing at Saigon or take-off at night from Da Nang. 3 January 1968 – My last flight into Da Nang flying a B-727 was slightly more than routine. I had arrived at night from Kadena. I went to Operations to file clearance and the Ops Officer said for us to move fast that the airfield would be under attack within an hour. I rushed the crew and asked the Officer to call traffic to have the aircraft off-loaded and loaded for departure immediately. We rushed to the aircraft for departure. […] As we turned for take-off, I saw the other end of the runway looking like a dozen fourth of July celebrations in one.

Dedicated to the men and women of the USAF past, present, and future, it records significant events and achievements from 18 September 1947 through 9 April 1997. Since its establishment, the USAF has played a significant role in the events that have shaped modem history. Initially, the reassuring drone of USAF transports announced the aerial lifeline that broke the Berlin blockade, the Cold War’s first test of wills. In the tense decades that followed, the USAF deployed a strategic force of nuclear- capable intercontinental bombers and missiles that deterred open armed conflict between the United States and the Soviet Union. During the Cold War’s deadly flash points, USAF jets roared through the skies of Korea and Southeast Asia, wresting air superiority from their communist opponents and bringing air power to the support of friendly ground forces. In the great global competition for the hearts and minds of the Third World, hundreds of USAF humanitarian missions relieved victims of war, famine, and natural disaster. The Air Force performed similar disaster relief services on the home front. Over Grenada, Panama, and Libya, the USAF participated in key contingency actions that presaged post-Cold War operations. In the aftermath of the Cold War the USAF became deeply involved in constructing a new world order. As the Soviet Union disintegrated, USAF flights succored the populations of the newly independent states.
