Spanning the globe to infiltrate the world’s most dangerous black markets and using high tech tactics to document the link between carbon emissions and species extinction, RACING EXTINCTION reveals stunning, never-before seen images that truly change the way we see the world. Long Synopsis Scientists predict that humanity’s footprint on the planet may cause the loss of 50% of all species by the end of the century. They believe we have entered the sixth major extinction in Earth’s history, following the fifth great extinction which took out the dinosaurs. Our era is called the Anthropocene, or “Age of Man,” because evidence shows that humanity has sparked a cataclysmic change of the world’s natural environment and animal life. Yet, we are the only ones who can stop the change we have created. -

It is made up of local leadership, a brigade of first responders, the town priest, a high school marching band and a magic school bus in a town that could be Anytown, America. Yet this isn’t any town. It’s Newtown. Twenty months after the horrific mass shooting in Newtown, CT that took the lives of twenty elementary school children and six educators on December 14, 2012, the small New England town is a complex psychological web of tragic aftermath in the wake of yet another act of mass killing at the hands of a disturbed young gunman. Kim A. Snyder’s searing Newtown documents a traumatized community fractured by grief and driven toward a sense of purpose. There are no easy answers, no words of compassion or reassurance that can bring back those who lost their lives during the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Instead, Snyder gives us exclusive access into the lives and homes of those who remain, all of whom have been indelibly changed by the events. -

The Imperialist Snake in Nicaragua's Garden of Eden Wears Holy Vestments According to Holy Scripture, the Devil Wears Many
The Imperialist Snake in Nicaragua’s Garden of Eden Wears Holy Vestments According to Holy Scripture, the devil wears many disguises and tells convincing lies.i In Nicaragua, the imperialist snake wears the vestments of cardinals, bishops and priests, and it foments discontent amongst the faithful from the pulpit with boldface lies that incite riotous protests against its democratically elected government, and it protects foreign funded paramilitary troops and organized criminals in their destruction of public buildings and infrastructure. This unholy and unjust violence occurs in once peaceful Nicaragua, a literal Garden of Eden, where small and medium sized farms produce 90 percent of all staple foods consumed. To banish this snake, it is necessary to identify its master; what its objectives are; how it got into the garden; and how it sustains itself. The snake’s name is Opus Dei. Josemaría Escrivá, a priest and ardent fan of the murderous U.S. installed iiright-wing military dictator Francisco Franco (1939-1975), founded Opus Dei in Spain in 1928iii. Franco is accused of the murder and disappearance of 114,000 people iv, which consisted of Liberals, Socialists, Trotskyists, Communists, anarchists, Protestant Christians and intellectuals between the years 1936 and 1952. v Opus Dei was given final Catholic Church approval in 1950 by Pope Pius XII, a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) collaborator. Additionally, Pope Pius XII knighted General William “Wild Bill” Donovan, who was the then chief of the Office of Strategic Services, the wartime predecessor to the Central Intelligence Agency into its most prestigious conservative order, the Knights of Malta. -

In a temporary measure taken by the Strasbourg court, the government was stopped in its tracks from flying two planeloads of Somali asylum seekers to Mitiga airport, Libya after they had been rescued and brought to shore by the Armed Forces of Malta (MFA). Married Life, for Better and Worse | Variety
Married life, for better and worse NOVEMBER 30, 2012 | 04:00AM PT Golden Globe Update 2013 Diane Garrett (http://variety.com/author/diane-garrett/) Leslie Mann wants you to know that the Viagra sex scene in “This Is 40 (http://variety.com/t/this-is-40/)” didn’t happen to her. Sure, the movie, one of several spotlighting the ups and downs of married life this awards season, draws on her union with writer-director Judd Apatow. And it stars their kids. But don’t confuse Pete and Debbie with Apatow and Mann. “That’s not us,” Mann quickly asserts with a laugh when the chemically enhanced coitus scene comes up in conversation. The scene, which opens the movie, sets (http://variety411.com/us/los-an- geles/sets-stages/) the stage for frank treatment of marital relations. Over the course of “This Is 40,” Mann’s Debbie and Paul Rudd’s Pete bicker about cupcakes, their parents and money. They also steal away for a romantic getaway from their squabbling kids and worry about their individual businesses. “I think it’s emotionally true to us, but also true to everyone,” Mann says, citing common marital complaints of feeling neglected or that the kids are getting more attention than the spouse. “It’s universal in that way.” Apatow collaborated with Mann on the script for years. “We come up with ideas, and the reason why fights are balanced in the film is because I try to figure out Pete and she helps me figure out Debbie,” Apatow says. The goal, Mann says, was to present a relationship that rings true, for better and for worse. -
