He asked the House to take a moment to pause and think of those who lost their lives following the collapse. Members stood in their places for a minute’s silence. 3 PETITIONS — The Clerk announced that the following petitions had been lodged for presentation: Waste to Energy Facility at Craigieburn and Moratorium — Requesting that the Legislative Assembly rejects the application for a waste to energy facility at Craigieburn due to health, amenity, traffic and environmental concerns, and issue a moratorium on new incinerator plants, bearing 510 signatures (Dr Read). The CHAIR: Good afternoon and welcome to the second series of public hearings for the Public Accounts and Estimates Committee Inquiry into the Victorian Government’s Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The committee will be reviewing and reporting to the Parliament on the responses taken by the Victorian government, including as part of the national cabinet, to manage the COVID-19 pandemic and any other matter related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
