Mary Louise (Storey) Frieden, age 66, of near Antioch, OH passed away Sunday October 11, 2015 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital Morgantown, WV. She was born to Earnest Alexander and Ruby Elizabeth Storey on July 16,1949 in St. Catherines, Ontario, Canada. Raised in Erie, PA from 1952 until graduating from Academy High School in Erie and Cedarville University in Cedarville, OH in 1971. She went on to get her Masters degree at Marietta College in Marietta, OH while teaching in the Switzerland of Ohio school district. She taught at Midway, Woodsfield, and Skyvue Elementary. She retired from teaching after 30 years of service in 2001 and was a member of the Retired Teachers Association. She became a naturalized citizen of the United State in 1995. She was a faithful member of the Unity Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and served as treasurer. Mary Lou is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Gale Frieden, brothers, Jim (Becky) Storey of Rocky Mount, NC, and Bob (Yvonne) Storey of Euless, TX, sisters-in-law Linda (Chuck) Safreed, and Brenda (Paul) Rosenlieb, Brother-in-law Gene (Pat) Ludolph, brother-in-law Don Safreed, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister-in-law, Bonnie Storey, sister-in-law Bonnie Ludolph, sister-in-law Shirley Safreed, mother-in-law and father-in-law, Emmett and Dorothy Frieden. Friends received from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday October 14, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home 100 S. Paul St. Woodsfield, OH where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday October 15, with Pastor Anthony McSwords officiating. Burial will follow in the Unity Cemetery near Antioch,OH. FRIEDRICHS, Elwood A •* 80, of Bennett Street, Bridge port, died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2003, in Wheeling Hospital. He was bom April 30, 1922 in Bridgeport, son of the late Louis and Amelia Oltch Friedrichs. Elwood was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Bridgeport American Legion Post 227; and a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving in the Pacific Theatre. In addition to his parents, Elwood was preceded in death by a brother, William Friedrichs; and a sister, Madelyn Leonard. Elwood is survived by his wife, Pearl Marcella Criss Friedrichs; a daughter, Sherry L. Friedrichs of Bridgeport; and two grandchildren, Lauren and Matthew of Bridgeport. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 .m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 20 National Road, Brookside, Ohio, where service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Calvin L. Sigmon offi ciating. Interment will follow in Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleas ant Grove, Ohio. FRIEDRICHS, Howard, 62, of Wheeling, W.Va. and Delray Beach, Fla., died Sept. 21, 2003 after a courageous bout with lung cancer.. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Friedrichs Sr Esquire of Wheeling; and moth er, Elizabeth Hazlett Friedrichs of Wheeling. He is survived by his wife, Sybil P. Friedrichs of Delray Beach, Fla.; a daughter, Michelle Paulsen of Pittsburgh, Pa.; sons, Chris Friedrichs of Richmond, Va. and Howard Friedrichs III of Nashville, Tenn.; sisters, Jessie Hancock of Bluffton, S.C. and Jo Ann Behrens of Delray Beach, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews. A 1961 graduate of Linsly, Mr. Friedrichs was a lifetime member of the Elks Club of Wheeling, the Eagles and a one time member of the Coterie of Wheeling. Mr. Friedrichs was a commercial Airline pilot for 35 years first with Eastern Airlines then with United. Offer condolences at www.shorac.com. Arthur Friend Arthur David Friend died Oct. 13, 2004. He was bom July 1, 1931, a son of the late Earl and Naomi Friend. He retired after 34 years at Weirton Steel and served as a machinist mate with the United States Navy from Aug. 22, 1951, to Aug. 24, 1955; he was honorably discharged. He was a member of the Argonne Post #3 of Steubenville, Ohio, and served as a Boy Scout leader for approximately 15 years. He enjoyed many, many bonfires, marshmallow roasts, water holes and fishing trips. He loved adventure! In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sis ter, Gertrude McConnell; a niece, Emilie Yeats; and a brother, Earl James Friend. Surviving are three sons, David of Hobe Sound, Fla., Joey of Steubenville and Joel of Clearwater, Fla.; one daughter, Deborah of Steubenville; four brothers, Albert of Hamilton, Ohio, Dan of Norton, Ohio, John of Rayland, Ohio, and Tom of Newark, Ohio; five sis ters, Esther Burkhead of Hinckly, Ohio, Nancy Friend of Martins Ferry, Dora Powell of Tiltonsville, Ohio, Lydia Friend of Newark, Ohio, and Ellen Verdeja of St. Paul, Minn.; and three grandchildren, Matthew, Justin and Joshua Friend. She was born on December 19, 1942 in Wheeling, W.Va., the daughter of the late Bernard and Edna Allen Frank. Mrs. Friend was a secretary with Lor raine Eckard Law Offices in Wheeling; and a Catholic by faith. Surviving are her husband, Charles O. Friend Sr.; a son, Charles O. Friend Jr. of Moundsville; two daughters, Kelly Pounds and her husband, William, of Moundsville and Kimberly Gump and her hus band, Larry, of Moundsville; and seven grandchildren, Ryan, Devan, Gavan, Daniel, Justin, Alexis and Derek.
