ROGER WILLIAMS UNIVERSITY 2(())12 COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES ROGER WILLIAMS UNIVERSITY 2((])]_2 COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT Dear Graduate: Having arrived at Roger Williams University just last summer, l have enjoyed only two semesters on campus with all of you who graduate today - yet having conversed with many of you in the Commons, watched you present your academic work in classrooms or joined you at events across campus, I can say without hesitation that I am greatly impressed with the Class of 2012. Today is a day for you to celebrate the momentous achievement of earning your college degree. Through hard work, perseverance, and dedication, you have succeeded in a competitive academic environment at Roger Williams - and that is no small accomplishment. Today, as you reflect on your time on campus, I encourage you to take pride in your academic successes, to treasure the &iends you have made, and to cherish the memories that will last a lifetime. Wherever you may venture next - whether to your first professional JOb, to continue your education or to trek across the globe - remember that you do so with the solid intellectual foundation you have built at RWU. Have faith in the portfolio of experiences you compiled during your collegiate years. Know that each of the projects in which you engaged the local community and every exchange of ideas you had with individuals both on and off this campus has prepared you for the years ahead. As you depart our campus, you join a distinguished group of alumni, all of whom contributed to creating the Roger Williams University of today. We want each of our alumni to be proud of our university and to remain engaged in its future. I encourage you to stay connected, to keep us up to date on your achievements, and to offer your expertise as a resource for the next generation of RWU students.
