Sri Balaji Arogya Vara Prasadini Scheme Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS) Alipiri Road, Tirupati-517 507 SRI BALAJI AROGYA VARA PRASADINI SCHEME A MODERN SUPER SPECIALITIES HOSPITAL OF TIRUMALA TIRUPATI DEVASTHANAMS Sri Balaji Arogya Vara Prasadini Scheme Sri Balaji Arogya Vara Prasadini Scheme was started in the year 1994 by SVIMS, to accomplish the goal of making available the sophisticated medical technology to every individual at an affordable cost and also to conduct research Activities in the field of Medical Research. A donor can donate an amount of Rs.1,000/ - or multiples thereof, to this institution and Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams in turn will contribute an equal matching Grant. This entire money is being put in fixed deposit in a nationalized bank and the interest accrued on it will be utilized for providing free medical services to the poor and the needy and also for carrying medical research activities. Uniform privileges for the donor of Rs.10 lakhs and above The donor and his family (not exceeding five) may be provided free accommodation for 3 days in a year in VIP suit having tariff value of Rs.500/ - or as changed tariff value as applicable for the said accommodation from time to time by TTD subject to availability. The donor and his family (not exceeding five) who donated Rs.10 lakhs and above may be admitted for Break/Beginning darshan for three days in a year except on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and festival days, subject to availability, on free of cost. Twenty small laddus will be issued to the Donor as prasadam once in a year during the visit of donor. One Duppatta and blouse piece will be presented to the donor as “Bhahumanam” once in a year during the visit of donor. One gold dollar of 5 grams in addition to one gold plated Silver Medallion with the image of Srivaru and Goddess Padmavathi Devi will be given at the time of Donors first visit only. These privileges may be extended during the lifetime of the Donor in case of individuals and for 20 years in case of firms, companies and joint donors. Income Tax benefit as applicable for the said scheme is available. Ten Mahaprasadam packets will be issued to the Donor as prasadam once in a year during the visit of Donor. Uniform privileges of the donor of Rs.5 lakhs and above . The donor and his family (not exceeding five) may be provided free accommodation for 3 days in ARP counter in a year or in V IP accommodation on payment basis subject to availability. Who donated Rs.5 lakhs and above may be admitted for darshan through Seegra Darshan in VQC – 1 for three days in a year subject to availability, on free of cost. The donor and his family (not exceeding 5) are to be admitted for Break/Beginning darshan for 3 days in a year at free of cost. In addition to the above, the Donor and his family (not exceeding 5) are to be provided Suprabhat Darshan for 3 days (VIP darshan and Suprabhat Darshan must be on different days) in a year at free of cost. On any one day as chosen by the donor in a year, “Veda Ashirvachanam” will be given by Vedha Pandits in Ranganayakula Mandapam inside Sri Tirumala Temple. Ten big laddus will be issued to the Donor as prasadam during the visit of Donor One duppatta and blouse piece will be presented to the Donor as “Bhahumanam” during the visit of don or. SPECIAL PRIVILEGES : The names of the donors who donates Rs.1 lakh and above will be displayed prominently in the recepti on hall of the hospital. Paid rooms would be named after donors who contribute a sum of Rs.25.00 lakhs and above. Donor who pay Rs.50 Lakhs apart from the names in the list, a unit can be named after the donor. Donor who pay one crore, apart from the names in the list a block or P.G. Hostel or Operation theatr e or Nurses Hostel or choultry for patient attendant can be named after the donor. Donor who pay Rs.5.00 crores and above, apart from the names in the list, an Auditorium or Specialty Block or any complex or Library Building can be named after the donor. A Chair in SVIMS will be named after the donor on his request who contribu tes Rs.1.00 crore and above. These endowment chairs are purely research oriented. Further, it is to inform that the donors are also welcome to offer equipment, vehicles etc., to SVIM S or even sponsor health camps in rural areas towards extending Super Spe cialties Treatment to the poor and needy patients. The donor can also visit the Hospital by giving prior intimation to the Public Relations D epartment of SVIMS. In this paper an attempt for CRM implementation in TTD through Seva Mangemement Information System. TTD provides a wide range of facilities to make pilgrimage a unique spiritual experience. The target groups for Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams to provide facilities are devotees and donors. Unless their views and perceptions are obtained and analysed it is not possible to draw inferences about the facilities provided to them. In this direction, on the basis of the data obtained through the survey the satisfaction levels on facilities are presented. Seventy eight percent of devotees were satisfied with Darshanam facilities (Queue System, packaged food, toilets, cloak rooms, medical aid and overall management) provided inside the Vaikuntam Queue Complex (VQC), while waiting for Darshan. In spite of TTD efforts in streamlining the queue system, 26 percent of respondents had to wait for more than 4 Hours inside the Queue Complex for getting Darshanam. It is suggested to make efforts to reduce darshanam time to save the save the time of the pilgrims, which could inturn solve accommodation and facilities problems to significant extent. ______________________________________________________________________________ I.

India. ______________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT An attempt has been made to evaluate the water quality of supplemented and ground water in Tirumala and Tirupati, Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh, India. The Tirumala and Tirupati are the most popular pilligramage and education areas in Andhra Pradesh. Twelve areas of Tirumala and Tirupati have been selected, where the peoples are used supplemented and groundwater for drinking purpose, and the water samples were subjected to systematic analysis with a view to understand the potability of drinking water sources. The values obtained for different parameters have been compared with the standard values given by ISI/ICMR/ WHO and the variations were notable for the parameters like electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids, total hardness and nitrates for few samples. Medical survey has been carried out to study the harmful effects on the society due to these four parameters at the areas - Tiruchanur, Renigunta and Karakambadi. Key words: Physico-chemical parameters; Total dissolved solids; Total hardness; Electrical conductivity. ______________________________________________________________________________ INTRODUCTION Water is one of the most essential components for the existence of life on earth. Although water pollution is an age- old problem, in this modern age, the problems like growing population, sewage disposal, industrial waste, radioactive waste, etc. have polluted our water resources so much that about 75 % rivers and streams, not only of India but also of all the countries, contain polluted waters [1].
