In this way, the country will be able to boost the development of its own R&D capacities for the participation in EU space projects. Slovenia gained observer status in the ESA in February, and on Thursday the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Gregor Golobič, signed a full cooperation agreement. To become full members of ESA, EU states must earmark every year at least EUR1m for a special programe.
