INFORMATION PAPER United Kingdom Overseas Territories - Toponymic Information United Kingdom Overseas Territories (UKOTs), also known as British Overseas Territories (BOTs), have constitutional and historical links with the United Kingdom, but do not form part of the United Kingdom itself. The Queen is the Head of State of all the UKOTs, and she is represented by a Governor or Commissioner (apart from the UK Sovereign Base Areas that are administered by MOD). Each Territory has its own Constitution, its own Government and its own local laws. The 14 territories are: Anguilla; Bermuda; British Antarctic Territory (BAT); British Indian Ocean Territory (BIOT); British Virgin Islands; Cayman Islands; Falkland Islands; Gibraltar; Montserrat; Pitcairn, Henderson, Ducie and Oeno Islands; Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha; South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands; Turks and Caicos Islands; UK Sovereign Base Areas. PCGN recommend the term ‘British Overseas Territory Capital’ for the administrative centres of UKOTs. Production of mapping over the UKOTs does not take place systematically in the UK. Maps produced by the relevant territory, preferably by official bodies such as the local government or tourism authority, should be used for current geographical names. National government websites could also be used as an additional reference. Additionally, FCDO and MOD briefing maps may be used as a source for names in UKOTs. See the FCDO White Paper for more information about the UKOTs. ANGUILLA The territory, situated in the Caribbean, consists of the main island of Anguilla plus some smaller, mostly uninhabited islands. It is separated from the island of Saint Martin (split between Saint-Martin (France) and Sint Maarten (Netherlands)), 17km to the south, by the Anguilla Channel.

Cayman International School New Faculty & Staff 2018-19 Melody Meade (Early Childhood Principal) Melody Meade joins CIS in the newly created position of Early Childhood Principal. Melody has worked as a teacher and in school administration in middle school, elementary school and Early Childhood divisions. She is thrilled to devote her energies and focus to the school experience of our youngest learners. Melody earned her Masters Degree in Education Administration from Columbia University: Teachers College, graduating from the Klingenstein Center for Private School Leadership. Her BA degree is in Elementary Education and History, from the University of Rhode Island. Originally from Storrs Ct. Melody has devoted her career to international education. She has worked in NYC, San Francisco, Brazil, France, and Belgium. She joins us from Washington DC, where she was the Primary School Principal at Washington International School, where her two children graduated earning bilingual IB Diplomas. Mike Neeland (MS Science) and Carol Neeland (ES Technology Integration) Mike Neeland grew up in Kansas and taught in Topeka before moving to Barcelona to teach MS and HS science at Benjamin Franklin International School. Carol grew up in California and taught in San Clemente for seven years before accepting a position as the K – 12 Computer Teacher at Ben Franklin IS. They met and married in Spain. They moved to Taiwan where Carol worked as an ES computer teacher and Mike was Assistant Aquatics Director and MS science teacher at Taipei American School. Their daughter, Kelsey, was born in Taipei. Next stop, the Dominican Republic to work at Carol Morgan School.

FIN-2021-A003 March 11, 2021 Advisory on the Financial Action Task Force-Identified Jurisdictions with Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism and Counter-Proliferation Deficiencies On February 25, 2021, the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) updated its list of jurisdictions with strategic deficiencies in their regimes to counter money laundering, terrorist financing, and proliferation financing. The changes may affect U.S. financial institutions’ obligations and risk-based approaches with respect to relevant jurisdictions. The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) is SAR filing request issuing this advisory to inform financial institutions of FinCEN requests that financial updates to the FATF list of jurisdictions with strategic anti- institutions only use the money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism updated mandatory SAR form (AML/CFT) and counter-proliferation financing deficiencies. and reference this advisory in As part of the FATF’s listing and monitoring process to SAR field 2 (Filing Institution Note ensure compliance with its international standards, the FATF to FinCEN) and the narrative identifies certain jurisdictions as having strategic deficiencies by including the following key 1 term: “FATF FIN-2021-A003.” in their regimes.
