As per the Turnaround Management Association „s TAM Annual Universe Update - 2010, India now has over 134 million households (out of 223 million) with television sets, of which over 103 million have access to Cable TV or Satellite TV. Kids are exposed to TV at a very young age and they view TV actively or passively without any filtrations, one program after the other. Unless parents are empowered with expert information, they are ill-equipped to judge which programs to place off-limits for their kids. This retrospective descriptive study explores whether kids and their parents felt the side effects of viewing Ben 10. The sample population of 30 kids in the age – group 5 to 8 years old and their parents participated in the research. Factors examined in the study were psychological effects, health effects, TV contents rating views, etc.

It is published by Cartoon Network Studios. Originally the pilot episode "And Then There Were 10" aired on December 27, 2005. It was part of of a sneak peek of Cartoon Network's new Saturday morning lineup. The second episode "Washington B.C." was shown as a special on Cartoon Network's Fridays on January 13, 2006, on which the first and second episodes were shown back-to-back. The theme song for the show was written by Andy Sturmer and sung by Moxy. The style is reminiscent of Jack Kirby, particularly the alien and technology designs and use of Kirby dots. Ben 10 revolves around Ben Tennyson, Gwen Tennyson (his cousin), and their grandfather Max Tennyson. At the beginning of their summer vacation camping trip, Ben almost gets struck by an alien pod that fell out of space. When he approaches it he finds the Omnitrix, a device which resembles a watch inside of the pod. The Omnitrix then leaps up onto his wrist and gives him the ability to transform into a multitude of alien lifeforms, each with their own abilities and skills distinct from the other. Methodology: The study used descriptive survey method to collect information through casual interviews and self-administered questionnaires. The data was analyzed through straight tabulations and generated tables, graphs, and charts such as measures of central tendency such as means and modes and measures of dispersion such as the standard deviations. Findings: The study concluded that most children watch cartoons mainly for entertainment purposes. Boys admire Ben’s super-human imagination and would like to identify with him. Girls like Kim possible because she is a young girl like them, and they are able to identify with her character, as all the other super-heroes are men. Girls like magic, power and action in cartoons such as Kim Possible. She is young and strong and can protect herself and others.

    Ben 10 TV Show The hero of this half-hour animated series was Ben Tennyson, a typically mischievous ten-year- old boy. Things became anything but typical when Ben came into possession of a strange device called the Omnitrix, which enabled him to transform into ten different alien superheroes, each endowed with special powers. Ben's alter egos included Fourarms, a 12-foot-tall warrior with armored skin; Stinkfly, a winged insectoid equipped with weaponlike pincers and tail; the aquatic Ripjaw, who in addition to his powerful jaws was endowed with legs that morphed into fins when the necessity arose; XLRB, a dinosaur-like creature which could travel at the rate of 300 mph, and also climb up walls and walk across water; the sun creature Heatblast, capable of absorbing flames and projecting fireballs; Wildmutt, a beastly fellow with heightened senses and a talent for firing quills from his back; the crystalline Diamondhead, which could cut and slash his way through obstacles, and also reflect light beams and lasers; Ghostfreak, who boasted such spectral powers as invisibility and the capability of passing through solid; the 5-inch-tall Grey Matter, which not only was able to enter and repair complicated computers and machinery, but also made Ben several times smarter; and Upgrade, a "living machine" with the ability of merging with and upgrading any mechanical device. Being a mere kid, Ben did not always have the emotional maturity to properly "handle" his various other selves, so he needed the input of his sensible cousin Gwen and his army-vet Grandpa Max to keep him in line.
