Sailing Aarhus and Aarhus International Sailing Center is pleased to invite , 49er FX, , Laser Standard and sailors to 4 days of training and regatta. The event will be similar to the spring-event held this year…but also will be a part of the multiple-classes-regatta ’Sailing Aarhus Week’. Venue is the Aarhus International Sailing Center, Ester Aggeboes Gade 80, 8000 Aarhus C, Denmark

NOTICE OF RACE

1 RULES 1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing and the prescriptions of the Nordic Sailing Federation 1.2 The rules and prescriptions will be changed as follows: • Rule 33 is changed. If a mark is moved, only flag C and a sound signal will be made. • Rules 35, A3 and A5 are changed. Boats not finishing within 20 minutes after the first boat finishing, will be scored DNF. • Rules 60.1(a) and 62.1(a) is changed. A boat cannot protest or request redress to some parts of the Sailing Instructions. • Rule 63.1 and A5 is changes. The Race Committee may, with a hearing give extra points (5 points per incident) to a boat that infringes certain points in the Sailing Instructions. Rules A4 and A5 are changed. A boat that starts later than 4 minutes after her starting signal will be scored DNS. 1.3 National authority prescriptions that apply: Danish legislation requires every boat to be equipped with personal buoyancy for the number of persons on board at any time. This includes coach boats. 1.4 The changes will appear in full in the sailing instructions. The sailing instructions may also change other racing rules. 1.5 If there is a conflict between languages the English text will take precedence.

2 ADVERTISING Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.

3 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY The regatta is open to all boats of the following classes: • 49er • 49erFX • Laser Standard • Laser Radial • Nacra 17 3.1 Eligible boats may enter by registration on Manage2Sail. 3.2 Entry and payment must be made no later than 26th August 2020 3.3 Late entries will be accepted before the end of registration and are subject of an additional fee of DKK 200, - 3.4 Entry is only accepted when entry and payment has been made.

4 FEES Entry fees are as follows: Laser Standard and Laser Radial DKK 400, - 49er, 49erFX and Nacra DKK 600, -

5.2 On the last scheduled day of racing, no warning signal will be made after 14:00

6 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS 6.1 Sailing Instruction will be published on Manage2Sail no later than 24 hrs before the first warning signal of the first race in the series. 6.2 No paper copies will be handed out. 6.3 Manage2Sail will be the Official Notice Board.

7 RACING AREAS Racing area will be the bay of Aarhus – north-east of the sailing center.

8 COURSES The courses to be sailed will be traditional or experimental in agreement with the classes.

9 PENALTY SYSTEM AND PROTESTS 9.1 Rule 44.1 is changed so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty. 9.2 Appendix T will apply.

10.1 1 Race is required to be completed to constitute a series. • When fewer than 4 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores. • When from 4 to 8 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score. • When 9 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst scores. When from 4 to 8 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score. When 9 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her two worst scores.

11 SECURITY AND COACH BOATS All coach boats will be included in the calculation of safety boats. It is mandatory that all coach boats have VHF on board. Communication with coached will be on VHF channel 72.

12 RADIO COMMUNICATION Except in an emergency, a boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones.

13 PRIZES Prizes will be awarded to every 5th entry

14 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance covering every single incident.
