Full Prospectus 2020 Rev2 Redeeming Aection, Cognition, and Volition 2020 PROSPECTUS Calvin Institute of Technology // 2020 Prospectus 01 Orang Yunani percaya di dalam alam semesta ada prinsip PRAKATA kebenaran/logos. Ini mengakibatkan di dalam tradisi filsafat Yunani, para filsuf berusaha mencari segala logika yang berada di PDT. DR. (H.C.) segala bidang pengetahuan. Di dalam perkembangan filsafat Yunani, sekitar 2.500 tahun lalu Plato, murid Socrates, STEPHEN TONG, memberanikan diri mendirikan Academy dan menerima murid-murid dari segala penjuru dengan tujuan mendidik mereka FOUNDER DAN mencari prinsip-prinsip kebenaran ini. Aristotle, murid dari Plato, mendirikan lyceum yang mengguncangkan jaman kuno itu. HONORARY Pendidikan mulai diperhatikan oleh kalangan atas dan para cendekiawan dan intelektual mulai menggali pengetahuan dan CHAIRMAN segala ilmu yang terpendam di dalam alam semesta. Melalui Firman Tuhan kita mengerti bahwa Logos itu adalah Kristus CALVIN yang adalah Sumber Kebenaran itu sendiri. Penciptaan Tuhan melalui Logos menjadikan alam semesta mengandung bijaksana INSTITUTE OF Tuhan dan memungkinkan manusia, yang dicipta di dalam peta dan teladan Allah, menggali dan mengerti segala rahasia yang TECHNOLOGY disimpan oleh Tuhan di dalam alam semesta. Mulai abad ke-11, lahirlah universitas-universitas di Eropa Barat—lima universitas tertua di dunia: Bologna University (1088), Paris University (1150), Oxford University (1167), Cambridge University (1209), Salamanca University (1218)—yang berusaha memberikan pendidikan dengan mengumpulkan semua pengertian di dalam berbagai macam disiplin ilmu. Melihat sejarah lahirnya perguruan tinggi di seluruh dunia dan peranan teologi di dalamnya, maka orang Kristen, khususnya mereka yang berteologi Reformed, harus memiliki suatu perasaan bertanggung jawab untuk mendirikan perguruan tinggi yang mengejar keunggulan akademis tanpa mengompromikan iman. Itulah sebabnya, GRII, didorong oleh cinta kasih Tuhan, mendirikan perguruan tinggi ini walaupun ini adalah suatu hal yang berat dan rumit, menyita banyak pikiran, dan memerlukan banyak sumber daya manusia dan dana. Setelah mempersiapkan diri dalam kurun waktu yang cukup lama, kami mengajukan izin pendirian Calvin Institute of Technology kepada pemerintah. Melalui pemeriksaan, pengamatan, dan penyelidikan yang ketat dan tuntas maka pada tanggal 18 Oktober 2018, Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi Republik Indonesia telah memberikan izin resmi (SK Menristekdikti No. 857/KPT/I/2018) bagi Yayasan Pendidikan Tinggi Reformasi Injili untuk mendirikan dan mengoperasikan Calvin Institute of Technology di Jakarta. Walaupun pemerintah saat ini hanya membuka kemungkinan pendirian program studi baru di bidang STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, dan Mathematics), kami percaya Tuhan akan mewujudkan doa kami memperkembangkan institut teknologi ini menjadi suatu universitas untuk menggarap lebih menyeluruh segala bidang kehidupan manusia. Kiranya Tuhan memberkati dan memimpin Calvin Institute of Technology sehingga kehendak Tuhan terjadi dan kita boleh memuliakan nama Tuhan dan mendatangkan shalom Tuhan bagi bangsa Indonesia dan dunia sampai selama-lamanya. Kiranya Tuhan memberkati kita, baik yang mempersiapkan, yang akan mengajar, dan yang belajar di dalam institusi ini. Calvin Institute of Technology // 2020 Prospectus 05 Bapak David Tong memperoleh gelar sarjana dalam bidang Fisika, PROFIL Matematika, Ilmu Komputer, dan Filsafat dari Calvin College (1999), magister di dalam bidang Studi Teologi dari Westminster REKTORAT Theological Seminary (2010), dan doktoral di dalam bidang Fisika Eksperimentalis dari University of Connecticut (2010) dengan disertasi berjudul “Long-Range Interactions in an Ultracold Rubidium Gas”. Saat ini, Beliau sedang menyelesaikan doktoral di dalam bidang Apologetika dari Westminster Theological Seminary dengan riset disertasi berjudul “Thomas F. Torrance’s Realist Epistemology: A Van Tilian Assessment.” Selain menjadi rektor di Calvin Institute of Technology, ia juga ditahbiskan sebagai penatua pendeta di dalam Sinode Gereja Reformed Injili Indonesia (GRII) pada tahun 2016 dan menjabat sebagai gembala sidang di GRII Karawaci (Januari 2019 – sekarang), anggota Dewan Pengawas Doktrin Sinode GRII (2016 – 2020), dan anggota Dewan Konsistori Sinode GRII (2016-2020). Beliau memiliki minat studi interdisipliner yang berkisar antara teologi, filsafat, sejarah, seni, sains, khususnya fisika, dan teknologi. Secara khusus, ia memiliki minat penelitian seputar epistemologi reformed, presuposisional apologetika, worldview reformed, kaitan iman reformed dan ilmu pengetahuan, pengaruh doktrin dan teologi terhadap perkembangan universitas dan ilmu pengetahuan modern, dan lain sebagainya. Beberapa artikel yang pernah dituliskan antara lain, “Karl Barth’s Soteriology,” “Federal Vision, Karl Barth, and Monocovenantalism,” “Christian Theistic Criticism of Science,” “Science: A Dooyeweerdian Perspective,” “Calvin, Reformed Orthodoxy, and Natural Theology: Evaluating Van Til’s Consistency with Calvin and the Reformed Tradition,” “God and Quantum Physics,” “The Relationship between Christianity and Science: A Brief Historical Study on Darwinism and the Old Pdt. The photo was taken during July at the opening of the new theological institute in Jakarta (see RTJ 53). Above on the right is Dr Robert Godfrey, President of Westminster Theological Seminary in Escondido, California and Professor of Church history. He writes regularly for Outlook, the paper of the Christian Reformed Church, which deno­ mination has about 900 churches. The article 'Holy, Holy, Holy' first appeared in Outlook. Dr Godfrey is due to give the first paper 'The vitality of Martin Luther' at the annual Westminster Conference scheduled for December 10th to l 1th thi s year at Westminster Chapel, London. On December 12th Dr Godfrey is to speak at a day conference for ministers in Leeds, firstly on 'The genius of John Calvin' and secondly on 'The book of Revelation and th e battle for my denomination' . Whereas both the study of overseas Chinese, as well as religion in modern China, have flourished since China’s era of reform and opening— alongside growing religions practice and reinvigorated transnational networks— scholarship in both fields has paid insufficient attention to transnational Chinese communities drawn along religious lines, and their potency to mobilize for activist causes in China. This thesis draws attention to the confluence of migration, religious conversion, and transnational activism to “change China” among a generation of intellectuals who exited China in the aftermath of the Tiananmen crackdown in 1989.

In fact, he gave the orchestra very little to do, apart from adding colour to the harmonies, and with just a few bars on its own, so the work is usually played as a piano solo without orchestra. It has become an attractive and exciting addition to the solo piano repertoire. The Andante needs no explanation. It typifi es Chopin’s reputation as a poet of the piano and as a writer of songs for the piano, containing warm, but uncomplicated emotions, in the context of simple beauty of sound. After the Andante, the Polonaise is introduced by a fanfare-like passage originally played by the orchestra, but usually transcribed for the piano. Then the piano begins the Polonaise itself. Chopin’s extensive inclusion of Polish music ideas and traditions in his music is evident in many works. The Polonaise is of particular interest. Unlike other dances, for example Waltzes and Mazurkas, the Polonaise is more a ceremonial procession before aristocratic or royal personnages, than it is a dance in the usual sense.
