Once complete, it will improve river water quality and the natural environment of the CRiver Clyde and its tributaries, enable the Greater Glasgow area to grow and develop, alleviate sewer flooding key locations and deal with the effects of increased rainfall and climate change in the area served by the Shieldhall WwTW. The Shieldhall Tunnel will be 3.1 miles long (more than five times as long as the Clyde Tunnel that takes a dual carriageway beneath the river) and 4.70m in diameter, big enough to fit a double-decker bus inside. It records the condition of our road assets and provides a means of identifying and prioritising the overall funding needs. This report discusses the status of our road assets in terms of extent, value and condition and presents the projected outcome of a number of investment options. The options and scenarios presented aim to assist with the budget setting process and identify where investment should be prioritised. The cost of replacing all road infrastructure assets is estimated at £4.5bn. The level of investment required to maintain our roads infrastructure in its current condition (steady state) is estimated at £30.1m per year; this equates to an annual investment of 0.67% of the total asset value. The Report contains a section for each road asset that outlines: 1. Asset Overview 2. Asset Condition. 3. Investment Options. The pie charts below illustrate and compares the annual level of investment required to maintain the asset in its current condition against the current level of investment. Neighbourhood Footways This year saw the completion of a £5m investment programme that focused on highly pedestrianised neighbourhood thoroughfares. -

Thomson- member of public. 2 Minutes of Previous Meeting: With the amendment of adding J.Scrymgeour to apologies, approved by I.McKillop and seconded by B.MacDonald. 3 Matters Arising: 3.1 Foodbank: volunteers and donations required. 3.2 Environmental issues: approach lights at underpass on order. Cllr Dalton carrying out monthly checks on progress relating to outstanding issues with all other underpass lights. Cllr McTernan would take forward the light issue in Victoria Park Drive South lane, at no 49/50, which had been inoperable since November, inspite of having been reported by residents. Cllr Dalton requested that photographs of potholes continued to be sent to him for action. “Hole in the ground”, Heras fencing down, Cllr. McTernan to investigate. South Street: Scottish water works continue with Jordan St. to Squire St. single lane. Carriageway badly potholed-police: traffic survey undertaken last week, results awaited. Victoria Park Drive South: vibration issue appears to be fixed after resurfacing. Ward 13: e mail report from G. Morgan. Cllrs M. Cullen and B. Butler are acting on issues relating to the west of Primrose St., raised both by WCC and J. Kerr of St. Paul’s Primary School. Additionally Cllr. Cullen walks the area regularly. -

Morphology, Phylogeny, and Evolution of Diadectidae (Cotylosauria: Diadectomorpha) by Richard Kissel A thesis submitted in conformity with the requirements for the degree of doctor of philosophy Graduate Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology University of Toronto © Copyright by Richard Kissel 2010 Morphology, Phylogeny, and Evolution of Diadectidae (Cotylosauria: Diadectomorpha) Richard Kissel Doctor of Philosophy Graduate Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology University of Toronto 2010 Abstract Based on dental, cranial, and postcranial anatomy, members of the Permo-Carboniferous clade Diadectidae are generally regarded as the earliest tetrapods capable of processing high-fiber plant material; presented here is a review of diadectid morphology, phylogeny, taxonomy, and paleozoogeography. Phylogenetic analyses support the monophyly of Diadectidae within Diadectomorpha, the sister-group to Amniota, with Limnoscelis as the sister-taxon to Tseajaia + Diadectidae. Analysis of diadectid interrelationships of all known taxa for which adequate specimens and information are known—the first of its kind conducted—positions Ambedus pusillus as the sister-taxon to all other forms, with Diadectes sanmiguelensis, Orobates pabsti, Desmatodon hesperis, Diadectes absitus, and (Diadectes sideropelicus + Diadectes tenuitectes + Diasparactus zenos) representing progressively more derived taxa in a series of nested clades. In light of these results, it is recommended herein that the species Diadectes sanmiguelensis be referred to the new genus -

We have incorporated, where possible, original observations of numerous taxa spread throughout the major tetrapod clades. A stem-based (total-group) definition of Tetrapoda is preferred over apomorphy- and node-based (crown-group) definitions. This definition is operational, since it is based on a formal character analysis. A PAUP* search using a recently implemented version of the parsimony ratchet method yields 64 shortest trees. Differ- ences between these trees concern: (1) the internal relationships of aı¨stopods, the three selected species of which form a trichotomy; (2) the internal relationships of embolomeres, with Archeria -

Ideally but unrealistically, this would require practitioners to be specialists in molecular 14 evolution, in the phylogeny and the fossil record of all sampled taxa, and in the chronostratigraphy of 15 the sites the fossils were found in. Paleontologists have therefore tried to help by publishing 16 compendia of recommended calibrations, and molecular biologists unfamiliar with the fossil record 17 have made heavy use of such works (in addition to using scattered primary sources -
