Adult Literacy Program Monterey County Library service offers one-on-one tutoring to adults over 16 years of age, not presently enrolled in a public school system. The program is free, individualized and confidential to all English speakers in Monterey County, offering both daytime and evening instructions. The program is looking for both adult learners and volunteer tutors. Services available while tutors are available. There is a wait list. High-school diploma is required to become a tutor.
