It stands on 736 hectare land reservation made available by the government through proclamations for agricultural land school purposes. It was established in 1918 known as Camarines Agricultural School (CAS) offering courses on modern farming for intermediate level exclusively for boys. Through the decades, the school continued to acquire national status and reached its milestone as a state college named Camarines Sur State Agricultural College (CSSAC). The College focused on elevating its quality through strengthening of physical and manpower resources, revising and formulating new curricular programs, intensifying research and development programs, expanding production programs, and establishing linkages to efficiently implement its trilogy mandate: instruction, research and extension. By virtue of Republic Act No. 9717, CSSAC was converted into a state university now known as the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture effective October 30, 2009. Vision: To become a leading university of Agriculture in the Philippines by 2018 and in the ASEAN Region by 2024. Mission: To produce globally competitive graduates, to develop viable agro-industrial technologies and to help build resilient and sustainable communities Objectives/Goals: 1. Provide quality education experience to the students 2. Generate innovative technologies for commercialization 3. Empower communities and other stakeholders 4. Enhance university resources Programs/activities/services: the University has 4 campuses CBSUA-PILI CAMPUS: Graduate Programs and Undergraduate Programs CBSUA-CALABANGA CAMPUS: Bachelor’s programs, master’s programs and certificate programs are being offered here. CBSUA-SIPOCOT CAMPUS: bachelor’s programs are being offered here. CBSUA-PASACAO EXTENSION CAMPUS: bachelor’s programs are being offered here. Networks 1. It started as an alliance of dairy producers in 2008 which was transformed into a federation of cooperatives in 2010 and started operating a dairy processing plant established with the support of the Land O Lakes Foundation in partnership with the Central Bicol State University of Agriculture. In 2006, the Land O Lakes Foundation aside from constructing a dairy processing plant also distributed about 300 dairy cattle animals as the sources of raw milk and in order to sustain the operation of the plant. The plant was operated with the purpose of promoting nutrition and supplying milk for the feeding program of the government and other NGOs.

Lagaylay is a re-enactment of the discovery of the holy cross by Sta. Elena done in two-hour song and dance performance. Pastora is Bicolanos beautiful commemoration of Christmas. Sta Clara is a thanksgiving for the good harvest and good health of the people.

TCWS No. 2 was raised over Catanduanes, the eastern portion of Camarines Sur, Albay, and Sorsogon. While TCWS No.1 was raised over Camarines Norte, the rest of Camarines Sur, Masbate including Ticao and Burias Islands, Quezon including Polillo Islands, Rizal, Laguna, Cavite, Batangas, Marinduque, Romblon, Occidental Mindoro including Lubang Island, Oriental Mindoro, Metro Manila, Bulacan, Pampanga, Bataan, Zambales, Tarlac, Nueva Ecija, Aurora, Pangasinan, Benguet, Ifugao, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, and the southern portion of Isabela, Northern Samar, the northern portion of Samar, the northern portion of Eastern Samar, and the northern portion of Biliran. At 7:00 PM, the eye of TY "ROLLY" was located based on all available data at 280 km East Northeast of Virac, Catanduanes. "ROLLY" maintains its strength as it threatens Bicol Region. The center of the eye of the typhoon is likely to make landfall over Catanduanes early morning of 01 November 2020, then it will pass over mainland Camarines Provinces tomorrow morning, and over mainland Quezon tomorrow afternoon. At 10:00 PM, the eye of TY "ROLLY" was located based on all available data including those from Virac and Daet Doppler Weather Radars at 185 km East of Virac, Catanduanes. Bicol Region is now under serious threat as TY "ROLLY" continues to move closer towards Catanduanes. Violent winds and intense to torrential rainfall associated with the inner rainband-eyewall region will be experienced over (1) Catanduanes tonight through morning; (2) Camarines Provinces and the northern portion of Albay including Rapu-Rapu Islands tomorrow early morning through afternoon.
