DE NUEVA APLICACIÓN Aprobadas en el Congreso de Roma 2009 A partir del 1 de enero de 2010 en todas las competiciones de ámbito nacional y territorial se aplicará la normativa aprobada por F.I.N.A. sobre la confección, medidas y utilización de bañadores. BL.8.3. A partir de enero 2010 los bañadores para hombres no se extenderán por encima del ombligo ni por debajo de la rodilla, y para las mujeres, no cubrirá el cuello, no se extenderá por encima de los hombros, ni se extenderá por debajo de la rodilla. Todos los bañadores serán hechos de materiales textiles. Anexos: También quedan incluidos los bañadores clásicos textiles que cumplan la norma BL.8.3 y que no figuran en la lista de homologados por FINA. Los bañadores de las mujeres no pueden incluir cremalleras, corchetes, u otro sistema de apertura y cierre similar en cualquiera de sus partes. También, sobre la utilización de cintas adhesivas ó terapéuticas, se aplicará la normativa aprobada: N.10.8. Ningún nadador está autorizado a utilizar o llevar ningún sistema o bañador que haga aumentar su velocidad, flotabilidad o resistencia durante una competición (Ej. : manoplas, aletas, etc.). Sí podrá llevar gafas protectoras. Cualquier tipo de cinta adhesiva sobre el cuerpo no está permitido, salvo que sea aprobada por el Comité de Medicina Deportiva de FINA (RFEN). La revisión de ambas normativas se efectuará en: N.3.2.4. Para las eliminatorias, semifinales y las finales, los nadadores deberán presentarse en la primera cámara de salidas (Precámara) 20 minutos antes del comienzo de su carrera.
